This technical notification is applicable to dealers who service and maintain customer sites with the Lyric
Controller (LCP500) or Lyric Gateway (LCP300).

Please be advised that
newer sensors labeled as

PROSiX
or
PROSeries
sensors are

not compatible
with the
Lyric
panel (
LCP500)
or Gateway
(LCP300
). These PROSeries
sensors are specifically designed for use with
PRO Series panels, as they have their own firmware tailored to the PRO Series platform.

To ensure proper functionality, please note the following:

1.

PROSiX or P
ro Series sensors
are not intended for use with the
Lyric system and cannot
be used

as a
substitute for compatible SiX sensors

on the Lyric system.

2.

SiX sensors
, which are compatible with the Lyric systems, are packaged and labeled as such.

3.

The Lyric panel also supports

5800 wireless sensors
.

4.

If you need an
additional or replacement sensor for a Lyric installation and a compatible SiX sensor is
not readily available, we recommend choosing a compatible

5800 series sensor
instead.

Identifying Sensors:

•

Check the
product packaging
and included documentation
(Exa
mples of packaging are provided
herein)

•

Examine the

sensor firmware version
:
o

Lyric Compatible SiX sensor versions begin with a number
0 or 1
.
o

Incompatible PROSiX sensor versions begin with a number
2, 4, 5 or 6
.

You can view the sensor firmware
versions remotely via
AlarmNet 360
from the

Device Programming

Account Overview
page by selecting the
View Details
button under

Device Firmware Details
.
Alternatively, you can check the firmware version locally at the panel by viewing the enrolled sensor in
zone programming.

For any Lyric installation, we strongly recommend replacing P
roSeries sensors with compatible SiX or 5800
sensors to ensure the integrity of the intended function.
