Advanced Modular Communicators
June 15, 2022
Dear Valued Resideo Customer:
Resideo has identified a firmware issue that affect
s the LTEM-P communicators. The firmware issue may
cause some communicators to send duplicate panel st
atus messages which has the potential to cause
network congestive conditions.
Firmware Update
All duplicate traffic generating LTEM-PA/PIA and LT
EM-PV/PIV communicators must have their firmware
updated. The latest firmware version is now availab
le via AlarmNet360 – the firmware version is
03.813.021.0.
Resideo recognizes that this may be a time-consumin
g activity and we are prepared to assist in
upgrading all affected devices to the latest firmwa
re version. As such, Resideo will begin the process
of
updating all impacted communicators to the latest f
irmware version beginning 6/16/2022. Updates will
only occur Mondays through Fridays, between 11:00 A
M ET and 8:00 PM ET.
Dealers may initiate firmware updates to the above
firmware version themselves if the devices are
connected on either Wi-Fi or Ethernet. If the devic
es are cell only, the update will need to be initia
ted by
Resideo. After the download is completed, devices w
ill undergo a reboot. The sequences of central
station messages are listed below.
Cellular (CAT-M1) based updates may take up to 20 m
inutes to execute by virtue of lower bandwidth on
the CAT-M1 LTE network. During this period, the com
municators will continue to operate normally. In
the event of a download failure on the cell network
, the communicators will attempt to retry by
themselves. On consistent failure, the devices will
stop attempting to download after a 12-hour period
.
Resideo will monitor the firmware update status of
the devices.
