Updating the Firmware on the 6290W
/WC

Touchscreen
using a Micro
-
SD card



1.

We first recommend
checking

the current revision of firmware installed on the
6290W
/WC
. To do
this, from the home screen press the

icon, then the
“System info” icon. The current firmware
installed
will be displayed.

We also
recommend doing this again once the new firmware has been installed to ensure
the update was applied.

We also recommend the system be in a
“R
eady

To ARM”

state.

Create a directory on the micro
-
SD card called “dload”.

Take the
“
zipped
”
firmware file

and place on a micro
-
SD card in
the

directory titled “dload”
.

“Note
:

supported size micro

SD
/SDHC

is 8GB to
32
GB”

Insert the micro

SD into the slot of the 6290W
/WC

located on the left side
.



Note: The
gold contacts of the micro
-
SD should face the back of the 6290.

Once the

SD is inserted into the 6290W

, the keypad will autoload the
file and prompt if the upgrade
is to

be performed or not.

Press OK and the file will start to install.

Once the system update has occurred. The 6290
W/WC

will again return to the
following screen.
P
ress “Cancel”
and r
emove the micro
-
Sd card from the left side
of the 6290W
/WC
. We recommend performing step 1 again to ensure the
firmware update was performed.
