Installation and Setup Guide

GENERAL INFORMATION

This Keypad is intended for use with the First Alert Pro
VISTA
Hybrid Control Panel and it's iBus.
The keys on the keypads are backlit for
convenience. Up to a total of eight (8) keypads can be used on the system.

See below and refer to the Control Panel's instructions for details.

KEYPAD MOUNTING

The keypads are surface mounted directly to a wall or to a single gang outlet box
[A] with or without the provided optional mudplate [B]
.
IMPORTANT:

Damage to product can occur if incorrectly wired. See summary of connections below for proper wiring.

1.

With the case back removed, route the 4 wires from the control through the opening in the wall mount.

2.

Mount the wall mount using the provided screws.
Insert the tamper screw as shown.

3.

Connect the 4 wires to the keypad terminal block. Observe polarity.
See the Wiring Table below for distance limitations.

4.

Align the case with the cleats and snap into place.

5.

Secure with bottom screw.

ENROLL THE KEYPAD

The keypad must be enrolled.
Follow the instructions in the controls Installation and Reference Guide for enrolling an iBus device.

PANIC KEYS

This keypad also features panic keys. These keys may be programmed for
Fire, Police and Medical alarms. Panic activation requires a 2
-button
sequence. After the first button in the sequence is pressed, you can cancel
the panic by pressing any key other than one of the panic keys.



Panic

There are 3 ways to generate an alarm:

1.

Press Panic and within 10 seconds press the desired panic
key (Fire, Police, Medical)

2.

Press desired panic key and within 10 seconds press the
Panic button.

3.

Press desired panic key and within 10 seconds press the
same key.

Keypad Menu Mode

This
mode displays keypad
-programmed information and provides access to Default, Reset, LCD Brightness, and Backlight options. Press and hold the 3 key

for 2 seconds to enter Menu Mode.
The system will exit Menu Mode after 1 minute of inactivity.
Press the 3 key to scroll or the * key to exit.

LCD Brightness

Prompts to change LCD brightness. 2 will toggle from Low, Medium and High

Press 2 to cycle through options for: Always Off / ON, After 1, 5, or 15 minutes.
