The 2GIG Edge Power Cable makes connecting a 2GIG Edge Security Panel to power simple and easy. In addition to working with the panel itself, the 2GIG Edge Power Cable can also be used to connect the 2GIG Edge Remote Keypad to its transformer. This cable works with the provided power supply.

One of the more tricky aspects of DIY alarm systems is the fact that most homeowners don't have a box of low-voltage wire just sitting around. Up to now, the alarm industry has catered to installation professionals and they do have wire available for custom wire lengths. For this reason, most professional alarm systems provide the panel and the power source, but not the wire required to connect them to one another. Cables such as the 2GIG Edge Power Cable and the Honeywell LT-Cable make it easy to overcome that issue.

The 2GIG Edge Power Cable has DC Positive and DC Negative Spade Lugs at one end of the wire. This allows you to easily connect the proper wire beneath the screws on the DC Power Adapter that comes with the panel. It's very important to observe proper polarity when connecting these wires. The DC Negative spade lug has a black shrinkwrap connector and the negative wire has long black dashes. The DC Positive spade lug has a white shrinkwrap connector, and the DC Positive wire is white with tiny black writing. The cable itself is 9.8' (3m) in length and 18 AWG in thickness.

At the other end of the 2GIG Edge Power Cable is a barrel connector suitable for connecting to the female port on the 2GIG Edge panel or 2GIG Edge Remote Keypad. Not only does the barrel connector make initial power up a snap, but it also makes powering the panel down in the future easier to do, when necessary.
