DSC TL880LECVZ N
Alarm.com Verizon LTE Dual-path Communicator for DSC PowerSeries Neo and Pro
Description
The DSC TL880LECVZ N Alarm.com compatible dual-path communicator uses wired ethernet and Verizon LTE signal paths. It works with the DSC PowerSeries Pro and DSC PowerSereis Neo panels. By providing two (2) separate paths for the transport of signals, the TL880LECVZ N ensures reliable communication for your DSC PowerSeries system.
Dual-path alarm communication is the gold standard in the industry. When it comes to something as important as alarm signals, particularly those for life-safety such as fire alarm signals, it is best to avoid any single point of failure. By providing two (2) separate, and very different, paths for alarm signals to follow, you can ensure that every signal reaches its destination. An internet connection is usually slightly faster than a cellular one, but less reliable. So, although the DSC TL880LECVZ N offers an ethernet connection, it is required to register the cellular portion of the unit. This means choosing an alarm monitoring plan that includes cellular communication. For Alarm Grid customers, this means a Gold Plan (Self or Full) or higher. For those who want alarm signals only, with no remote service features, we also offer a plan for Cellular Alarm Monitoring only.
For Alarm.com communicators, dual-path communication is just that. Every signal is sent using all available paths. The signal that reaches Alarm.com first is processed and the slower version of that signal is discarded. In this way, Alarm.com makes sure that the fastest available signal path is used for each signal that is sent. Through Alarm.com, a dealer also has access to a whole suite of remote tools to assist them with programming and troubleshooting. This helps to prevent costly and time-consuming service appointments in the event that something goes wrong.
In addition to reliable signal transport, the DSC TL880LECVZ N also allows the user to take advantage of Alarm.com's full group of remote access and automation features. Through Alarm.com a user can verify system access, arm, and disarm. With its built-in Z-Wave Plus controller, the TL880LECVZ N also supports remote manual control and automation of Z-Wave and Z-Wave Plus devices. If a user has a computer or smart device and an internet connection, they can interact with their system from anywhere. Automation of devices can be based on system events, and/or a schedule.
If you need an AT&T version there is also the TL880LECAT N. These communicators will get your DSC panel ready for Alarm.coms interactive services.
