The DSC WS4933 Wireless Carbon Monoxide Detector provides reliable carbon monoxide detection for wireless 433 MHz DSC Alarm Systems. This includes the DSC Impassa, the DSC ALEXOR 2-Way Wireless System and most DSC PowerSeries Security Systems running Firmware Version 4.5 or higher.

Outbreaks of carbon monoxide gas kill hundreds of people every year. This gas is odorless and tasteless, which makes it impossible to detect without a sensor. You can prevent these casualties with a reliable and properly functioning carbon monoxide sensor. The DSC WS4933 uses electro-chemical sensing technology to reliably detect the presence of lethal CO gas. The device also includes an 85 dB sounder to alert building occupants. This roughly as loud as a passing diesel truck.

It is advised that end users place the DSC WS49333 outside of sleeping areas and attached garages. This device is also recommended for use near fuel-burning appliances that may lead to a CO outbreak. By programming it with an alarm system, you can receive automatic emergency help in case of an outbreak. Please note this will require alarm monitoring service. End users will appreciate the device's low profile design that makes it unobtrusive. Other features include a local test button, a hush button, low battery indication, and sensitivity reporting. The device uses a single CR123A lithium battery for power. Mounting hardware and a battery both come included. The device measures 5" in diameter and has a height of 2.5". The product has a five (5) year expected life. At the end of product life, a yellow LED light will flash every 23 seconds. The sensor will also chirp every 45 seconds to provide indication.
