Interlogix GE 600-1053-4-ZX-AT

The Interlogix GE 600-1053-4-ZX-AT Alarm.com AT&T 3G Cellular Communicator will provide cellular connectivity for a Concord 4 Alarm System. The module will connect to the 3G cellular network operated by AT&T. Currently, 3G cellular networks are in process of being phased out in favor of the faster and more reliable LTE cellular networks. With that in mind, this communicator will still be capable of providing cellular connectivity for the Concord 4 System for the next few years.

At Alarm Grid, we generally advise users to purchase security products that they will be able use well into the distant future. For that reason, we recommend purchasing an LTE cellular communicator for the system instead. By using an LTE module, the panel will experience faster communication speeds, and the user will not have to worry about replacing the communicator after just a few years. There is currently a Verizon LTE Communication available the Concord 4 that can be purchased on our website. We recommend using that communicator if possible.

By upgrading to cellular, a Concord 4 will be made more versatile, and it will communicate more reliably. Cellular connectivity also allows the Concord 4 System to sync with the Alarm.com interactive service. From Alarm.com, a user can arm and disarm their system, check the current status of their sensors, operate any programmed Z-Wave home automation devices and more. This service can be accessed from any web browser or through the Alarm.com Mobile App. The mobile app can be downloaded for free to any iOS or Android device. Once downloaded, a user will be able to control their Concord 4 System from almost anywhere in the world.

The AT&T 3G Cellular Communicator also serves as a Z-Wave controller for a Concord 4 System. This will allow Z-Wave home automation devices to be used. Some common types of Z-Wave devices include lights, locks and thermostats. A user can establish rules and scenes for their Z-Wave devices from Alarm.com. By creating rules and scenes, a user can have their Z-Wave devices activate automatically during system events or based upon a pre-set schedule. This can help a user save money on their energy bills, and it can make controlling the devices in one's home more convenient.

Please note that the user must have an active alarm monitoring plan with cellular service in order to use this communicator. Only then can the module be activated by their monitoring company. Additionally, the Concord 4 must be running software version 4.0. If the system is not running at least this version, then a firmware update will be needed.
