Qolsys IQ4 Hub, Verizon LTE, Honeywell & 2GIG
345 MHz Wireless Alarm Panel
Description
The Qolsys IQ4 Hub with Verizon LTE and support for Honeywell and 2GIG wireless sensors is a perfect balance of features and price. It allows you to upgrade to a new, all-in-one, touchscreen system while retaining any Honeywell or 2GIG 345 MHz unencrypted wireless sensors that may already be installed and are still functioning. It incorporates all the most widely-used features of the Qolsys IQ Panel 4.
The Qolsys IQ4 Hub has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Core processor found in the more expensive IQ Panel 4. The difference between the two panels has to do with hardware. The IQ4 Hub has no front-facing camera for disarm photos. Rather than four (4) front-facing speakers, the IQ4 Hub has only one (1) speaker and one (1) Piezo Siren capable of ~85 dBm alarm sounding. It has a single microphone, which supports live-answer when used with one of the Alarm.com compatible video-doorbells, but does not work for 2-way voice with the other Alarm.com cameras. The IQ4 Hub is not compatible with the IQ Base, but is compatible with the included smart mount wall installation kit and the smart mount table stand using the optional IQ Panel 4 stand (purchased separately).
This Qolsys Hub supports 345 MHz Honeywell or 2GIG wireless sensors. There is also an IQ4 Hub that supports PowerG only, a DSC 433 MHz frequency sensors only version, and a 319.5 MHz Qolsys or Interlogix GE only version. Each of the above versions also comes with either an AT&T LTE Cellular or Verizon LTE Cellular communicator built in. All IQ4 Hubs use Alarm.com interactive services. Unlike the IQ Panel 4, the IQ4 Hub is only available in white. Like the IQ Panel 4, the IQ4 Hub supports 242 user codes and a maximum of 128 zones. This model only supports the 345 MHz sensors.
The Qolsys IQ4 Hub is equipped with Alarm.com communicators and can only utilize Alarm.com services. It offers dual-band WIFI in addition to the Verizon LTE Cellular communicator. There is also an AT&T version for those users who are located in areas where AT&T LTE cellular signal is stronger. When monitoring is added to the IQ4 Hub, it can then also be remotely controlled using the Alarm.com app or website. The features that are supported will depend on the monitoring plan that is chosen.
With a plan supporting remote control, the user is able to arm and disarm remotely. They can also control automation, set up scenes, add users, and set up notifications. When a full central station monitoring plan is added, all signals are sent over all available communication paths. Meaning, if both WIFI and Verizon LTE cellular are available, a signal is sent using each of these paths simultaneously. The first signal received by Alarm.com "wins" and is processed. The signal that is received second is discarded. In this way, Alarm.com ensures that each individual signal is sent using the fastest available path, whether that be WIFI or LTE Cellular.
The IQ4 Hub also supports Bluetooth disarming. This will allow paired phones to disarm the panel automatically when the phone's user returns home and is within Bluetooth range. The IQ4 Hub supports partitioning, and Bluetooth disarming can be configured to disarm one or more partitions. A user can also use the IQ4 Hub as a Bluetooth speaker to stream music or other audio content.
The IQ4 Hub allows you to configure the Photo Frame Settings to display a slideshow after a designated period of time since the last touchscreen interaction. Multiple options between 1-30 minutes are selectable. The IQ4 Hub will also allow you to shut the screen off after a period of inactivity if desired. The local weather can be displayed on the home screen. The weather displayed will depend on the zip code entered for the location.
The IQ4 Hub provides an almost identical user experience to the IQ Panel 4, owing to the fact that they both offer the same User Interface (UI). It provides a sleek design and an attractive touch-and-swipe touchscreen interface. But it comes with a smaller price tag. Choose this 345 MHz IQ4 Hub with an Verizon LTE cell communicator today.
