Qolsys IQ4 Hub, Verizon LTE, DSC
433 MHz Wireless Alarm Panel
Description
Introducing the Qolsys IQ4 Hub with a built-in Verizon LTE Cellular communicator and support for DSC 433 MHz. The IQ4 Hub is based on the IQ Panel 4. It has many of the same features but lacks a few of the less commonly used ones. This allows the IQ4 Hub to be a more economical option, all the while, providing much the same user experience as the IQ Panel 4.
The Qolsys IQ4 Hub is equipped with a 7" Touchscreen, dual-band WIFI, an 8-core Qualcomm SnapDragon Processor, 16GB of NAND Flash memory, and a Z-Wave Plus 800 controller. Qolsys has removed the front-facing camera, support for the panel glass break, the built-in panel motion detector, 2-way voice support, and dual wireless sensor support. The IQ Panel 4, with DSC-compatible RF support, offers dual SRF. This means that it supports both the DSC 433 MHz sensors and PowerG sensors. The IQ4 Hub also comes with various RF receiver options, with each only supporting a single wireless sensor technology. Also, unlike the IQ Panel 4, the IQ4 Hub is only available in white. Like the IQ Panel 4, the IQ4 Hub also supports 242 user codes and a maximum of 128 zones using DSC 433 MHz sensors.
In addition to this IQ4 Hub, which has support for DSC's 433 MHz frequency sensors, there is also an IQ4 Hub that supports PowerG only, a 345 MHz Honeywell or 2GIG only version, and a 319.5 MHz Qolsys or Interlogix GE only version. Each of the above versions also comes in either an AT&T LTE Cellular or Verizon LTE Cellular communicator. All IQ4 Hubs use Alarm.com interactive services.
The IQ4 Hub sends signals to a central station using Alarm.com and also uses their services for remote control, including arming and disarming. Alarm.com also allows a user to manually control automation devices remotely, set up automation scenes, add users, and set up end-user notifications. The IQ4 uses true dual-path technology. If connected to WIFI, the panel will report over both the WIFI and Cellular paths simultaneously. Whichever path is successful in getting a signal through first, "wins". Alarm.com will process that signal, and discard the "losing" signal. Alarm.com forwards the signal to the appropriate monitoring station, when applicable. For Alarm Grid customers, central station reporting is available for subscribers with one of our Full Monitoring plans.
For those looking to save a few dollars, and who do not need dual SRF to support two different types of wireless sensors, the IQ4 Hub has the same user interface and processing speed as the IQ Panel 4, with fewer hardware features. The IQ4 Hub, while it has no front-facing camera, still supports live-view of supported Alarm.com cameras and live-answer of supported doorbell cameras. It has one (1) front-facing 4W speaker, one (1) 85-dB piezo siren and one (1) microphone. The IQ4 Hub has a hard plastic covering over the speaker, siren, and microphone at the bottom of the panel, compared to the cloth covering on the IQ Panel 4. The IQ4 Hub is not compatible with the IQ Base, but is compatible with the included smart mount wall installation kit and the smart mount table stand using the optional IQ Panel 4 stand (purchased separately).
The IQ4 Hub supports Bluetooth disarming. This will allow a paired phone to disarm the panel automatically when its user returns home and is within Bluetooth range. Up to five (5) different phones can be paired using Bluetooth. The IQ4 Hub supports partitioning, and Bluetooth disarming can be configured for one or more partitions. You can also use the IQ4 Hub as a Bluetooth speaker to stream music or other audio content.
