Qolsys IQ4 Hub, AT&T LTE, Honeywell & 2GIG
345 MHz Wireless Alarm Panel
Description
The IQ4 Hub is a mid-level alternative to the IQ Panel 4. It has many of the same features as the IQ Panel 4, but eliminates some features that may not be needed. This allows the IQ4 Hub to be a more economical option for those users who do not need certain hardware features. The Qolsys IQ4 Hub will only support one (1) radio frequency.
The features that have been eliminated from the IQ4 Hub are all hardware based. There is no front-facing camera to take disarm photos. With only one microphone, the panel glass break has been eliminated, as has support for 2-way voice. The built-in panel motion detector has also been eliminated. Instead of four (4) speakers, the IQ4 Hub only has one speaker and one piezo siren. And finally, dual SRF support is currently not available in the IQ4 Hub. This means that each IQ4 Hub will only support a single frequency for security, environmental, and life-safety sensors.
This Qolsys Hub supports 345 MHz Honeywell or 2GIG wireless sensors. There are also an IQ4 Hubs that support PowerG only, DSC 433 MHz frequency sensors only , and a version that supports 319.5 MHz Qolsys or Interlogix GE-only. Each of the above panel variations also comes with either an AT&T LTE Cellular or Verizon LTE Cellular communicator. All IQ4 Hubs use Alarm.com interactive services for both the transport of signals, and for remote panel and automation control. Unlike the IQ Panel 4, the IQ4 Hub is only available in white. Like the IQ Panel 4, the IQ4 Hub supports 242 user codes and a maximum of 128 zones. Again, this model only supports the 345 MHz sensors.
The IQ4 Hub reports to Alarm.com using true dual-path technology, when available. If the panel is connected to WIFI, the panel will report over both WIFI and Cellular paths simultaneously. Whichever path's signal is received first by the Alarm.com server, that signal is processed. The signal traveling the slower path is discarded. This ensures that the fastest reporting path available is always used with each individual signal.
Once the signal is received, Alarm.com forwards it to the appropriate recipients. For those accounts that are receiving full monitoring the signal is forwarded to both the end-user as a notification, and to the central station for processing and possible dispatch of authorities. For customers using self-monitoring, Alarm.com forwards the signal to the end-user and their designees via text, email, and/or push notification. Using the IQ4 Hub with Alarm.com interactive services also allows the user to arm and disarm remotely. In addition, they can control automation devices, set up scenes, add users, and set up notifications all through the Alarm.com webpage or app.
The Qolsys IQ4 Hub Wireless Alarm Panel still comes well equipped with a 7" Touchscreen, dual-band WIFI, an 8-core Qualcomm SnapDragon Processor, 16GB of NAND Flash memory, and a Z-Wave Plus 800 controller. It also has one (1) front-facing 4W speaker, one (1) 85-dB piezo siren, and one (1) microphone. All neatly hidden under the hard plastic cover at the bottom of the panel. This is another physical difference in the two panels, as the IQ Panel 4 has a cloth covering over its four (4) speakers. The IQ4 Hub is not compatible with the IQ Base, but it is compatible with the included smart mount wall installation kit and the smart mount table stand using the optional IQ Panel 4 stand (purchased separately).
The IQ4 Hub supports Bluetooth disarming. This will allow a paired phone to disarm the panel automatically when its user returns home and is within Bluetooth range. Up to five (5) different phones can be paired using Bluetooth. The IQ4 Hub supports partitioning, and Bluetooth disarming can be configured for one or more partitions. You can also use the IQ4 Hub as a Bluetooth speaker to stream music or other audio content.
The IQ4 Hub allows you to configure the Photo Frame Settings to display a slideshow after a designated amount of time since the last touchscreen interaction. Multiple options between 1-30 minutes are selectable. The IQ4 Hub will also allow you to shut the screen off after a period of inactivity if desired. The local weather can be displayed on the home screen.
The IQ4 Hub provides an almost identical experience as using an IQ Panel 4. Choose this 345 MHz IQ4 Hub with an AT&T cell communicator today.
