Qolsys IQ4 Hub, AT&T LTE, DSC
433 MHz Wireless Alarm Panel
Description
This is the Qolsys IQ4 Hub with a built-in AT&T LTE Cellular communicator and support for DSC 433 MHz. Its characteristics are similar to the IQ Panel 4 (433 MHz), but it lacks a front-facing camera, panel glass break, panel motion detector, 2-way voice support, and Power G support. It is still heavily equipped with features. It comes equipped with a 7" Touchscreen, dual-band WIFI, an 8-core Qualcomm SnapDragon Processor, and a Z-Wave Plus 800 controller.
The Qolsys IQ4 Hub will only support one (1) radio frequency. This model supports DSC's 433 MHz frequency sensors. There is also an IQ4 Hub that supports PowerG only, a 345 MHz Honeywell or 2GIG only version, and a 319.5 MHz Qolsys or Interlogix GE only version. Each of the above versions also comes in either an AT&T LTE Cellular or Verizon LTE Cellular communicator. All IQ4 Hubs use Alarm.com interactive services.
The IQ4 Hub reports to Alarm.com. It uses true dual-path technology. If connected to WIFI, the panel will report over both WIFI and Cellular paths simultaneously. Whichever path is successful first, wins. This ensures the fastest reporting possible with each individual signal. Alarm.com immediately forwards the signal to the connected monitoring station, for central station monitored accounts. Use the IQ4 Hub with Alarm.com interactive services, allowing you to arm and disarm remotely. It also allows you to control automation, setup scenes, add users, and setup notifications.
For those who didn't like or need the front facing camera, this IQ4 Hub will provide nearly the same experience as using the IQ Panel 4. It has the same user interface and speed, but takes away some features many can do without. Still leaving a good quality product. The IQ4 Hub, while it has no front-facing camera, still supports live-view of supported cameras and live-answer of supported doorbell cameras. It has one (1) front-facing 4W speaker, one (1) 85-dB piezo siren, and one (1) microphone. The IQ4 Hub has a hard plastic covering over the speaker and the siren at the bottom of the panel, compared to the cloth covering on the IQ Panel 4. The IQ4 Hub is not compatible with the IQ Base, but is compatible with the included smart mount wall installation kit and the smart mount table stand using the optional IQ Panel 4 stand (purchased separately).
The IQ4 Hub also supports Bluetooth disarming. This will allow a paired phone to disarm the panel automatically when its user returns home and is within range. The IQ4 Hub supports partitioning, and Bluetooth disarming can be configured for one or more partitions. You can also use the IQ4 Hub as a Bluetooth speaker to stream music or other audio content.
The IQ4 Hub supports Z-Wave Plus 800-Series as its automation platform. This is the latest advancement in Z-Wave technology. It offers an improvement to module battery life and transmitting range. This allows the IQ4 Hub the ability to control lights, locks, thermostats, garage doors, motorized shades, and other automation devices that use the Z-Wave protocol. As always, the IQ4 Hub's Z-Wave controller is backward compatible with all previous versions of the Z-Wave protocol. Just be aware of the limitations when mixing older and newer Z-Wave devices on the same network.
