Triplett MM350
True RMS Digital Multimeter
Description
The Triplett MM350 is a true RMS auto-ranging digital multimeter. It has a backlit LCD display. It is capable of AC/DC Voltage and Current, AC/DC µA Current, Resistance, Temperature, Capacitance, Frequency, Diode testing, and Audible Continuity. The Triplett MM350 also has auto power off and a low battery indicator.
The Triplett MM350 has a data hold feature and a relative mode. It comes with test leads, a temperature probe, and three (3) AAA batteries. It features a CAT III 600V rating, which makes it a great option for a variety of commercial and residential testing. Use it for security, home theater, electrical, HVAC, and much more.
When installing an alarm system, a digital multimeter is useful. If you need to service your alarm system, use a digital multimeter to troubleshoot the alarm. Use it to verify voltages and check the continuity of circuits or components in the alarm system. The MM350 can help you quickly access and narrow down the issue as opposed to guessing and doing a lot of trial and error. This multimeter can be valuable whether you are working with a hardwired alarm system or a wireless alarm system. It is capable of reading up to 600V and up to 10A of current. With the included temp probe, it can measure temperatures ranging from -40 to 2000°F (-40 to 1370°C).
The MM350 comes with the test leads needed to test for voltage, current, resistance, and more. The multimeter does have two (2) fuses to protect against user error. These fuses do not typically trip, but if they do, fuse #1 is a 500mA/600V rated fuse. Fuse #2 is rated at 10A/600V and acts as a fast acting fuse. To replace the fuses, open the meter back cover, replace the damaged fuse with a new fuse of the specified rating. Reinstall the battery cover and lock this cover.
The display is 3 3/4 digit LCD display capable of displaying a max reading of up to 3999. The range defaults to auto range mode when voltage, current, resistance, or capacitance is selected. It can be set to manual mode when desired by pressing the "Range" button. When in auto range mode, it will display "Auto" on the display and disappears in manual mode.
The MM350 has an auto shutoff feature to preserve battery when you forget to turn the meter off. When the batteries get drained, a low battery indicator will appear on the display. This indicates the batteries need replacing. To replace the batteries, remove the screws and open the back case, replace the drained batteries with new batteries (Size AAA, 1.5V x3 or equivalent).
Whether you are a professional or a DIYer, the Triplett MM350 can be your multimeter to test batteries, outlets, and your alarm system. Be sure to always keep one handy so that it is available when the unexpected need arises.
