Description

The WBOX 0E-PIR433 is a state-of-the-art passive infrared motion detector used on alarm systems that support the DSC 433 MHz frequency. The 0E-PIR433 features a 60lb pet immunity, a tamper switch, and has an installation height of 7.5' to 10'. The PIR operates off of one (1) CR123A battery.

The 0E-PIR433 is an excellent motion for any system that uses the DSC 433 MHz signal. The motion allows for installation on a wall, or in a corner for a 45 degree mounting. You will need to knock out the hole covers and use screws. You can also install with the three (3) included adhesive strips. You want to maintain a mounting height of 7.5' to 10' from the floor or the area you are protecting.

This PIR motion uses a dual-element detection method. The elements are connected together in reverse polarity to provide a detection signal that is converted to digital form for the best operation. It also has common mode rejection with a trademarked HighBar to help prevent false alarms. This only allows qualified signals, aka pulses, to be detected and cause an alarm when the polarity alternates. WBOX says this is "best-in-class" false alarm rejection.

The 0E-PIR433 also has two (2) sensitivity settings. While most installations will use the normal sensitivity setting of 3-5 steps, you can adjust to the high sensitivity of 2-4 steps. These steps are the typical number of steps needed to trigger the motion detection. Be sure to mount the motion where it is in plain sight of the monitored area. It must also be aimed away from windows and heating and air vents.

After powering the motion, it goes through a one (1) minute warm-up period. Next, learn in the sensor using your specific alarm system's auto-enroll method. Then, be sure to perform a walk test to ensure proper operation. It is also a good idea to test these annually. With the LED on, walk the area you are testing. When the LED turns on, wait for it to turn off, plus an additional 12 seconds, before continuing the walk test. Allow your pets to do their walk test as well. This will ensure the motion operates in the manner you need and expect.

NOTE: This motion is also available in a 319.5 MHz and a 2GIG 345 MHz version.
