hey DIYs I'm George from alarm grid today we're going to be going over how to add an inter logics key fob to assignment xti or Simon XTi 5 now the same button screens that we're going to be going through they're exactly the same the only difference between both panels is the Simon XTi 5 has a slightly bigger screen than what you see here yes so today I have my inner logics key fob and I have my Simon XTi first thing we need to do is go ahead and go into programming so we can actually learn this sensor in so if you look at the home screen we're gonna hit the gear icon in the bottom right corner it's gonna bring up our status and settings we're gonna hit the down arrow key all the way down to the very last page where you see programming once you hit enter it's gonna ask you for your installer code or your dealer code we're gonna enter in four three two one either one that one should work so we're gonna enter in four three two one hit ok that takes you to your system programming now keep in mind your dealer code or installer code could have been changed by your mom your alarm company or you may have changed it when you first set the system up and may have forgotten it so the one I just entered in is the default one that comes with all the inner logic systems that's what it defaulted at so we have my system defaulted right now after you're in the system programming page you're gonna hit sensors then hit learn sensor it's gonna ask you to trip the new sensor for the inner logics key fob you just need to hold down the top two buttons once I hold down these top two it'll populate everything for that for this sensor watch it beeps confirms and then if you see the screen it automatically it just gives you a default template which you're gonna need to edit so first the sensor number that's the that's the zone number I way it actually learned into zone one for the sensor group right now it's at ten that's a entry exit we want to make sure we change that to a zero one and then hit save now you want to change it to zero one just that the key fob will work functional zero one if you actually look at the sensor groups on page five and six of the programming guide on the Simon XT I did actually shows you all the sensor groups sensor group number one is a panic so there's a bunch of different panics you can do you can do audible auxilary silence so you want to make sure that you say your sensor group to whichever one you want to use now for my sensor name I don't want to leave it at the front door because this is the key fob so I'm gonna hit edit on that and I'll hit edit on the very first one and it's gonna give me my library which I'm gonna scroll down to look for key fob which is one page down and it seems like I hit key fob and then I hit save by the way if you just want to enter it in as well you can do that up there it's number 159 hit save close at the very top and then I'm done making all the changes I I wanted to to my timaeus sensor so after I'm done editing the sensor I'll hit save in the top right it'll say please wait processes requests and if you guys are learning me multiple sensors it'll be ready to learn in the next one I'm done I'm just gonna use this I'm gonna hit close all the way till I get back to the home screen so you can just keep hitting close and it'll back you out now to test the key fob you can simply just do the lock button and it should the system should say doors windows motions whatever sensors you have learned in it should say armed and you'll see it and you'll see it went to an arm say and then if I do the unlock it should disarm it yeah and now to set off the panic on the key fob just so you guys can see how that works as well I have to hold down the top to watch this sends an alarm if I want to hit listen it'll actually make the make the alarm sound I'll show you guys right now okay so that was just telling me what the alarm actually was so it looks like it was a key fall alarm and then it lets me know of any issues the panel has I have a low battery because I have the system power down just now so the battery died right so once I do that I mean I have to disarm the system I don't think you can disarm it with the key fob that would be a security risk if you set off a panic and then the burglar got your key fob and disarmed it with the key fob so you actually have to enter into code so you have to tap on the screen tap on the screen and you're gonna enter in your master code my master code is defaulted at one-two-three-four again yours could be different so I enter in one-two-three-four and it'll immediately say alarm cancelled yeah and if you're wondering what this little light button is is if you have z-wave lights you can actually control the lights straight from the key fob watch so if you have z-wave lights you can actually control that with this little key fob here again that was just a quick way to learn in the inter logics key fob to assignment xti and it's the same setup for the Simon XTi five as well if you guys do have any questions about the key fob feel free to email us our email is support at alarm pure comm if you found this video helpful
