American Recycling

This is a fourth generation operation and we're very, very proud of that.
What we're doing here right now is putting up a state of the art recycling
facility with an automobile shredder, light metal shredder on a 14 1/2 to
15 acre piece of property. This is an industry that is a commodity
industry. It goes up and down with the commodities market. You have to be
very careful on how you buy and how you sell. With the world's economy
right now we have found that recycling has become a very large business and
all of these major recycling facilities need security.

SMS and American Recycling along with Honeywell are involved right now in
the initial stages of installing our Helix pan, tilt, and zoom cameras and
our Vandal Domes. This is the initial stage and we expect to be completed
sometime in the next three to four months. You're always concerned about
the cashier windows and of course you could do all you possible you could
do by putting bulletproof glass in and steel barriers around the place and
everything, but you still need to be able to see who's coming and going at
all times.

So safety of our employees is more important than anything you can think
about. By being safe we have to put the security system in so that we can
see coming and going, who may be entering the premises and who's leaving
the premises. It's very important to us that we know what's going on at all
times, day and night.

As an integrator, SMS partnered up immediately with Honeywell because we
saw the distinct advantage that they bring to the table in this new
vertical market. This is a project that has grown tremendously for us. The
people here that own American Recycling have been incredibly cooperative in
introducing us to their industry and their association. So the project is
one whereby it's really taken on a life of its own.
