Honeywell CDMA X and GSMX4G: Communicator Review

If you’re in the market for a new communicator for your home or business alarm system, you may want to take a closer look at the Honeywell CDMA X and Honeywell GSMX4G. Both of these communicators are attractive options for users who don’t have much space to mount additional alarm system hardware but would still like to have the security and reliability of an advanced communicator unit. Both of these small communicator units are designed to mount directly to the top of your alarm system control unit, and they take up considerably less space when compared to other communicators.

With the Honeywell CDMA X and GSMX4g, you don’t even need to strip the controller's wiring, as both these units include pre stripped wiring that can quickly be attached to the proper terminals on the control panel. All these features combine to make the CDMA X and GSMX4G two of the easiest communicators to install and mount in your home.

In this video, you’ll learn that the CDMA X may be an especially attractive option for those who live in areas where AT&T cellular service is unavailable, or where AT&T cell reception is poor. This is because the CDMA X works on the Verizon cellular network instead of AT&T. Outside of that small difference in the cellular service provider, both the Honeywell CDMA X and Honeywell GSMX4G are identical in their design and operation. Both units use cellular service to communicate with central monitoring or Total Connect 2.0.

Both of these communicator devices are able to use Total Connect 2.0.
