Honeywell Lyric Thermostat: Geofencing Shortcuts on the Android App

To activate geofencing, simply create a shortcut for when somebody is home and a shortcut for when the home is empty. Start by pressing the plus symbol at the bottom of the Lyric app. Next, select When Your house is empty. You're able to select Use Away Settings or Circulate My Air. If you want the thermostat to go to an energy saving mode, select Use Away Settings. Press Next, and type in the name of your new shortcut. For this, we'll type Away. Then, simply hit Save, and you'll see your new shortcut created on your home screen. This shortcut will trigger when the last person leaves the home and crosses the geofence boundary. Next, create a shortcut for when the home is occupied. Start by pressing the plus symbol again, and now you're able to select use my Home Settings, or you can make it warmer or cooler depending on how comfortable you want to be when you get home. Press Next, and type in the name of your new shortcut. For this one, we'll use Home as the name of our shortcut. Press Save. Now you've created and activated geofencing shortcuts.
