Lyric Smash Protection Explained

hey DIYs this is George at alarm grid today we're gonna be going over what if someone smashes my lyric controller before it calls my Central Station now the lyric controller is honeywell's latest all-in-one system it actually once you get it monitored it comes enabled with a feature that's called advanced protection logic this is a Honeywell feature that allows the system to hold essentially a signal while the system is armed away or stay so if the system is armed and someone comes in through the front door it sets off first of all that entry fault zone and it starts going into a entry delay period that fault actually pings to AlarmNet servers and to the Central Station now with this advanced protection logic feature does is if there is no disarm signal received within or by the time that the entry delay is over what the Central Station does is it takes that into account and it counts that as a burg alarm so basically if the entry delay is triggered you have usually thirty seconds and if no disarm signal is received by then the system is going to know or the servers and the Central Station one know that this is an alarm now the lyric controller is an all-in-one system it has all the communicators the Wi-Fi set of your communicator would be built in cellular you have to add of course Wi-Fi is built into this and typically this is the brains this is the keypad this is how the panel this is the main communication so a lot of people get worried if someone smashes the lyric that no signal will be sent Honeywell fortunately for us has released that advanced protection logic feature now something that you guys could do is if you're worried about someone breaking the panel yes so having that advanced protection logic feature just make sure that the signal gets sent it doesn't prevent a burglar from breaking anything if a burglar breaks in there's nothing to prevent a burglar from breaking anything in the home but what it does do is it ensures you that the signal is sent to the Central Station and that they do get the authorities out to the correct house and out of timely manner so what's something that you can do with the leer controller you can install this somewhere in your bedroom storage closet area anywhere you want and they actually have a lyric keypad that you can purchase separately and what that will do is basically like how they used to do back then with the wired systems you would have the actual security system in a storage closet and then the keypad at the front door you can do that with the lyric controller the lyric controller again you can put it in your bedroom and you can get the leader keypad put it by the front door that way you don't you decrease the chances of someone breaking your brand new security system or your lyric security system and if anything if they do break the keypad you'll set how the lyric you can just get then you keep that if you found this video helpful please make sure to subscribe to our Channel hit the like button and also enable notifications that way whenever we upload new content you will be notified if you guys still have any questions please feel free to email us at support at alarm grid comm thank you guys have a good day
