Honeywell SiX Door Sensors and Window Sensors
Honeywell SiX Door Sensors and Window Sensors are some of the best devices to use with your Resideo Lyric Alarm System or your Resideo ProSeries 7" All-In-One Panel. These are extremely secure and reliable door and window contacts that make a great addition to any compatible alarm system. Whether you are using your Resideo Security System for home security or business security, you cannot go wrong with these trustworthy and reliable door and window contacts. They are easy to install, quick to enroll, and they fit-in nicely with nearly any decor.
Like most wireless door and window alarm sensors, the Honeywell SiX Door and Window Sensors can be auto-enrolled with a compatible system. Resideo has taken this a step further with their new SiX Programming method. All you need to do is put the system into its special SiX Programming mode. Then power on the sensor by removing the battery tab or inserting a fresh battery. The sensor will power on and immediately transmit a signal to the system. The system should recognize this and allow you to program the sensor. Of course, you can still do the classic method of putting the system into its auto-enrollment mode and then faulting the sensor to learn it in. But this new SiX Programming mode makes things much easier.
There are currently two main sensors within the Honeywell SiX Door and Window Sensors lineup. These include the Honeywell SiXCT and the Honeywell SiXMINICT. The SiXCT is the larger of these two sensors, and it offers a slightly larger RF transmitting range. According to Resideo, the SiXCT should work from up to 300 feet away when used in an indoor environment without direct line-of-sight. Just remember that large metal objects, thick walls, and other obstacles may disrupt this range. Meanwhile, the SiXMINICT is a more compact and discreet sensor. It has a slightly smaller RF transmitting range of up to 200 feet when used indoors without direct line of sight. The Honeywell SiXMINICT is best-used when design and appearance is the top priority.
Both the SiXCT and the SiXMINICT offer some great features that helps them stand out as sensors. They have status LED lights to assist with enrollment. They also utilize 128-bit AES encryption which makes them virtually impossible for others to hack or takeover. This is a big improvement over the older Honeywell 5800 Sensors, which were non-encrypted devices. With military-grade encryption like 128-bit AES, you can rest assured that you system is always safe and secure. This will give you the peace of mind that you deserve.
End users will also find that both the SiXCT and the SiXMINICT are extremely easy to install. In fact, you do not even need to drill holes. These sensors can be mounted and secured using double-sided foam tape. This is perfect if you may need to move the sensors at a later date. Each sensor includes two pieces of foam tape - one of the sensor and one for its accompanying magnet. This gives you everything you need to mount the sensor safely and securely. Of course, if you want to mount the sensors using screws, you can still do that as well. Just make sure the sensors work correctly from the desired position before doing the permanent mounting.
