Create temperature notifications for the ADC-VDB780B
Customers can receive notifications when the Alarm.com Wireless
Video Doorbell (ADC-VDB780B)'s
internal
temperature
is low.
Temperature notifications
The ADC-VDB780B operates between
-4°F
to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C).
Users will receive a low-temperature notification
when the internal temperature of the ADC-VDB780B drops below
-4ºF (-20ºC).
If the ADC-VDB780's internal temperature exceeds the minimum or maximum temperature, the device will automatically
turn off to prevent damage to the device.
When the weather warms up
it will take time for the ADC-VDB780B's internal temperature to reach the functioning
supported temperature. It will automatically turn back on after the doorbell's internal temperature is within the operational
temperature range.
There is an
added
safety margin built
into the operational temperature range to
prevent situations
where the device is constantly turning on and off.
Low temperatures are known to reduce the capacity of lithium-ion batteries, so users in colder climates may experience
shorter battery cycles. If there is a quick drop in ambient temperature the battery will deplete faster, and the doorbell
may not accurately reflect the remaining capacity. In sustained colder climates
it is recommended to recharge the
doorbell more frequently.

: This notification is enabled by default.
Create/edit temperature
notifications
Low-temperature notifications can be configured and created using the
Customer Website and Customer app.

To create/edit temperature notifications using the
Customer Website:

Log into the
Customer Website.
2.
Click
Notifications
.
3.
Click
New Notification
, or click
to edit an
existing notification.
4.
Click
Temperature Alert
(Video)
.
5.
Enter the desired name for the notification.
