Adjust the field of view and focus of a varifocal video device
A varifocal lens on a video device allows the user to zoom in and out using the Customer Website. Zooming in focuses
on the center of the video device's field of view. Any adjustments to the angle should be done done manually on the
camera itself.
Benefits of a varifocal lens

without losing video quality.

The camera can adapt to a user's changing needs. Zoom in to target a specific area from far away or zoom out to
capture more of a small space.

and can be used in a wider range of installations.
To adjust the field of view and focus:
1.
Log into the Customer Website.
2.
Click
Video
.
3.
Click
Settings
.
4.
Using the
Video Device
dropdown menu, select the desired varifocal video device.
5.
Click
Field of View
.
6.
Use the
Field of View
slider
to adjust the camera zoom. The focus automatically adjusts whenever the field of view
is changed. To adjust the focus manually:

Advanced Options

Use the
Focus
slider to adjust the camera focus.
7.
Click
Continue
to calibrate the video device for Video Analytics. For more information about the calibration
