Relay Module
INSTALLATION AND SETUP GUIDE
GENERAL INFORMATION
The
VISTAHRELAY
Module provides from one to four dry, form
-C
(SPDT) relay outputs to compatible
First Alert Pro
Hybrid Control
Panels. Depending on the application, it connects to the control’s
iBus wiring terminals and is mounted remotely.
INSTALLATION
•
The module has a built
-in tamper, allowing it to detect and report the
removal of its cover to the control panel.
•
Communication with the module is supervised. If the wiring is cut,
a tamper or alarm signal will result, indicating that this module (and
possibly other devices connected to the iBus wiring) has become
inoperative.
Agency Notes:
•
For dry, indoor use only.
•
Do not install in air
-handling spaces.
•
Use only 14-
22 AWG wire.
•
For Commercial Burglary installations. The module must be
tamper
-protected or mounted in a tamper
-protected cabinet.
MOUNTING
1. Push the button on top of the modu
le to open the cover.
2a. For surface installations, using the 5 provided screws [2a], mount
the back case to the wall using the designated mounting holes and
back case tamper [2b].
2b. For gang box installations, carefully remove PCB and using the 5
provided screws [2a], mount the back case to the wall using the
designated mounting holes and back case tamper [2b].
3. Using best practices, choose the appropriate knockout [3a] to feed
the wires through (or use the hole provided in the back of the box
[3b]).
IMPORTANT:
Damage to product can occur if incorrectly wired.
See summary
of connections for proper wiring.
4.
Rotate the cover and snap it into place [4
a], secure it with provided
lock screw [4
b].

CONNECTIONS AND SETTINGS
1.
Power should be disconnected before
proceeding.
2.
Be sure to mount the module before making any wire
connections.
Make connections to the module's four relays.
Refer to the
control’s installation instructions for specific information on how
to program the activation options for the relays.
Connect to the control’s iBus terminals via a 4
-position terminal
block (in the upper right
-hand corner). See the diagram on the
other side of this page.
After powering up, enroll the module through the panel's iBus
programming. Refer to the control’s installation instructions for
specific information on how to program the activation options for
the relays. After enrollment, the relay is configurable via the
control panel programming or the app.
NOTE:
All power
-limited wiring must be separated from non-
power
-
limited wiring by ¼”.
Make connections to the module's four relays via each three
-
position terminal block.
ENROLLMENT
1.
The unique identifier defined on the attached label is required.
2.
The control panel
