Step #1.

Confirm Panel Compatibility

Confirm
panel supports this module by checking the Revision.


Supported panels:

VISTA

15P,

15PSIA, VISTA

20P, VISTA
-
20PSIA and First Alert Professional equivalents (firmware level 9.1 or
higher)

Panel Programming


a.

Enable RIS in location *91 by entering a 2
in
the second
entry

(2 or 3 on SIA panels)
.

The panel can only
support 1 RIS device, so the 4232CBM cannot be used with Total

Connect 2.0

Note:
4232CBM is fixe
d at address 25 on these panels


b.

Enable
virtual
keypad
address
used

(This address is selected in the Home
Control software
)
. AUI keypad in
*189
(
or
standard keypad in *190

*196)


NOTE:
When using the 4232CBM, the selected keypad device address serv
es as a
virtual device used for automation
.
Therefore,
the selected ad
dress cannot be used
for an actual
keypad address
.



Step #3.
Control Panel
Wiring



a.

Locate the 4
-
wire ECP harness that came with the 4232CBM. Wire the harness to the Keypad bus of panel
and plug the harness into connector on the 4232CBM. (Do not lose this

connector as it is not a separately
orderable part)











ECP Connection: 900 ft max home

run with 22 AWG unshielded wire
