The PowerG Wireless Carbon Monoxide Detector (PG9933) is not
currently
compatible with
the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus with PowerG firmware V
ersion
80.17 and they
should not be used
together
. Please note, only Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus
PowerG
firmware
Version
80.17 is
affected.
Qolsys
IQ Panel 2 Plus with PowerG
firmware
Version 4.06 is not affected and can
continue to be used with PG9933.

In some
cases, the PG9933 will not enroll on the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus with PowerG
firmware V
ersion
80.17.
In a limited number of cases, the PG9933 will appear to successfully
enroll, but even in such cases
this device/panel combination should not be used until further
notice.




The PG
9933
is comp
atible with PowerSeries Neo,
PowerSeries Pro, and iotega
panels and
can
continue to be used on those systems with no restrictions, since they are not affected in
any way by this issue.

Status

An updated version of the PowerG Wireless Carbon
Monoxide Det
ector (PG9933) will be
placed in production
as soon as possible
, with new firmware that is compatible with the Qolsys
IQ Panel 2 Plus with
PowerG
firmware V
ersion
80.17. This new version will be identifiable by
(1)
a Date-
of-Manufacture of 3/26/2019 or later printed on the packaging and device; and (2)
a
sticker indicating full compatibility with Qolsys I
Q Panel 2 Plus with PowerG firmware Version
80.17
on
the packaging. Another bulletin with further details about the new version
will be sent
in advance of the release of the new firmware.

The applicable PowerG firmware version can be identified on IQ Panel 2 Plus units in the field
on the panel touchscreen
by navigating to ‘Settings
– Advanced Settings –
About’.
If that page displays PowerG f
irmware Version 80.17, the panel is affected by this issue, and
the PowerG Wireless Carbon Monoxide Detector (PG9933) should not be used.

If that page displays PowerG f
irmware Version 4.06, the IQ Panel 2 Plus is not affected by this
issue, and the PowerG Wireless Carbon Monoxide Detector (PG9933) can be used on the
system.

Instructions for install base and warehouse stock
Any PG9933 units installed for use in
the field
on a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus with PowerG
firmware Version 80.17 should be removed immediately and replaced with updated units as
soon as
they become commercially
available.

PG9933 units purchased for
use with Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus with PowerG f
irmware
Version
80.17 should be immediately
returned for replacement and
will be exchanged for
updated units
as soon as
they become commercially
available.

PG9933
units purchased for
use with PowerSeries Neo,
PowerSeries Pro, or iotega
panels
can continue to be used together
and have no restriction on compatibility.
No action required
for such units.
