INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
The
Dimmer
module
is
a
Z
Wave
enabled
device
(interoperable,
two
way
RF
mesh
networking
technology)
and
is
fully
compatible
with
any
Z
Wave™
enabled
network.
Every
Z
Wave
enabled
device
acts
as
a
signal
repeater.
Multiple
Z
Wave
devices
result
in
more
possible
transmission
routes,
helping
to
eliminate
radio
frequency
dead
spots.
Z
Wave™
enabled
devices
displaying
the
Z
Wave™
logo
can
be
used
with
the
Dimmer
module
regardless
of
manufacturer.
The
Dimmer
module
sends
a
dimmer
(ZL
7101)
or
On/Off
(ZL
7201)
signal
to
the
appliance
that
is
attached
to
the
Dimmer
module.
By
design,
the
Dimmer
module
does
not
interfere
with
the
other
power
outlet
when
plugged
into
the
AC
outlet.
This
module
also
acts
as
repeater
(supporting
FLiRS).
Adding the Dimmer Module
to the Z-Wave Network

To
include
the
Dimmer
module
to
a
network,
put
the
Z
Wave
Interface
Controller
into
inclusion
mode.

On
the
Dimmer
module,
hold
the
Program
button
down
until
the
Z
Wave™
Interface
Controller
“learns
in”
the
dimmer.
TIP:
While
adding
(or
learning
in)
the
Dimmer
module,
no
more
than
one
meter
should
be
between
the
Z
Wave
Interface
Controller
and
the
Dimmer
module.
Removing the Dimmer module from a Z-Wave network

To
remove
the
Dimmer
module
from
a
network,
put
the
Z
Wave™
Interface
Controller
into
exclusion
mode.

On
the
Dimmer
module,
hold
the
Program
button
down
to
delete
the
dimmer
from
the
Z
Wave
Interface
Controller.
TIP:
The
Program
button
is
a
toggle
switch.
If
the
light
that
is
connected
to
the
Dimmer
module
is
on,
you
can
press
the
Program
button
to
turn
the
light
off,
and
vice
versa.
Adjusting the brightness level
1
You
can
adjust
the
brightness
level
of
the
connected
light
using
your
controller
or
by
pressing
and
holding
the
Program
button.

Release
the
Program
button
when
the
desired
brightness
level
is
attained.
TIP:
This
is
a
toggle
function.
The
lighting
will
dim
until
the
minimum
level
is
attained
or
the
Program
button
is
released.
The
next
time
that
you
press
and
hold
the
Program
button,
the
brightness
level
increases
until
the
maximum
level
is
attained
or
until
you
release
the
Program
button.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
The Dimmer module is a Z‐Wave enabled device (interoperable, two‐way RF mesh networking 
technology) and is fully compatible with any Z‐Wave™ enabled network. Every Z‐Wave enabled 
device acts as a signal repeater. Multiple Z‐Wave devices result in more possible transmission 
routes, helping to eliminate radio frequency dead spots.
Z‐Wave™ enabled devices displaying the Z‐Wave™ logo can be used with the Dimmer module 
regardless of manufacturer. The Dimmer module sends a dimmer (ZL 7101) or On/Off (ZL 7201) 
signal to the appliance that is attached to the Dimmer module. 
By design, the Dimmer module does not interfere with the other power outlet when plugged into 
the AC outlet. This module also acts as repeater (supporting FLiRS).
Adding the Dimmer Module
to the Z-Wave Network
1 To include the Dimmer module to a 
network, put the Z‐Wave Interface 
Controller into inclusion mode. 
2 On the Dimmer module, hold the 
Program button down until the Z‐
Wave™ Interface Controller “learns 
in” the dimmer.
TIP: While adding (or learning‐in) the 
Dimmer module, no more than one 
meter should be between the Z‐Wave 
Interface Controller and the Dimmer 
module.
Removing the Dimmer module from a Z-Wave network
1 To remove the Dimmer module from a network, put the Z‐Wave™ Interface Controller into 
exclusion mode. 
2 On the Dimmer module, hold the Program button down to delete the dimmer from the Z‐
Wave Interface Controller.
TIP: The Program button is a toggle switch. If the light that is connected to the Dimmer 
module is on, you can press the Program button to turn the light off, and vice versa.
Adjusting the brightness level
1 You can adjust the brightness level of the connected light using your controller or by pressing 
and holding the Program button.
2 Release the Program button when the desired brightness level is attained.
TIP: This is a toggle function. The lighting will dim until the minimum level is attained or the 
Program button is released. The next time that you press and hold the Program button, 
the brightness level increases until the maximum level is attained or until you release the 
Program button.

LIMITED WARRANTY
This 2GIG Technologies product is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for 2 years. This warranty extends only to 
wholesale customers who buy direct from 2GIG Technologies or through 2GIG Technologies’ normal distribution channels. 2GIG 
Technologies does not warrant this product to consumers. Consumers should inquire from their selling dealer as to the nature of the 
dealer’s warranty, if any.
There are no obligations or liabilities on the part of 2GIG Technologies for consequential damages arising out of or in connection 
with use or performance of this product or other indirect damages with respect to loss of property, revenue, or profit, or cost of 
removal, installation, or reinstallation. All implied warranties for functionality, are valid only until the warranty expires. This 2GIG 
Technologies Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied.
