Lyric SiX Series Sensors Data Sheet

Nothing in beta to my knowledge but we have heard that there will be a SiXCOMBO released at some point. I do not have any exact dates for you. I have tagged your profile to update you when it becomes available.
Any updates to a six series smoke/co detector like the 5800COMBO?
Unfortunately, only the IPCAMs from AlarmNet work for viewing from the Lyric or from the TC2 account. The IPCAM-WO would be the option for an outdoor camera or you could use the ACU analog converter unit to bring in panel and TC2 support of an analog camera. If you choose to go with a separate camera system let us know, please email support@alarmgrid.com so we can downgrade your plan away from one that includes the video surveillance feature.
Thanks to everyone for their support. I placed an order for the SiX mention sensors and siren. I went with 5800s for my door contacts because I wanted a recessed model this time. I also went with a 5800 tilt sensor and relay for my garage door. I'm hoping Honeywell as more built into the motion sensor that they will enable lather through updates. I'll have to wait and see. I held off on the smoke until the combo unit comes out. Now the decisions begin on outdoor cameras. I don't like any of what is currently offered. I like some of Honeywell's IP cameras but I don't know of if the Lyric will recognize them because they are for the professional market and part of the ACUIX line.
You can always keep a few Z-Wave motions to use for their added features with the third party automation hub. Also, you do not need to remove any compatible Z-Wave devices from your smartthings hub. Items like lights, locks, thermostats and water valves are still compatible with both controllers. There is a secondary controller feature that allows you to send all the connected devices from the primary over to the secondary. Only the primary can include/exclude devices. You can still keep the Smartthings hub as the primary and use the Honeywell non-compatibles to trigger scenes and rules with other Z-Wave devices. With all that said, Sterling's breakdown of compatibility is the major factor.
Honeywell is working on a combo smoke/CO in the SiX Series range but I don't have an ETA on that for you now. In the mean time, there is a wireless 5800CO that you could use for CO protection as a separate device to the 5808W3 smoke/heat detector or the SiXSMOKE smoke/heat detector. As for the motion, the 5800PIR (https://www.alarmgrid.com/products/honeywell-5800pir ) can detector motion and low temperature and would work with the Lyric. It just wouldn't be an encrypted device. There aren't currently any wireless humidity sensors but you could wire a wired humidity sensor into a wireless transmitter to have it monitored by the Lyric. As for the re-sale market on the Z-Wave devices, I would imagine you could find some buyers as they work with many different 3rd party Z-Wave systems.
That was already the train of thought I was already going down. Unfortunately that train is going to cost me another $1k. Anyone know what the market for used Z-Wave devices is like? I would like more features though in the Lyric Six devices. For instance I really do like the 6-n-1 function of my motion sensors. Particularly the temperature, humidity, and lux functions. I also like that I have both smoke and co2 detection in one device since I have it mounted next to my gas fireplace where co2 might be an issue.
Okay, well all of your issues are based around the fact that you need to use Honeywell 5800 Series or SiX Series devices for anything that will initiate an alarm. Therefore, you can't use Z-Wave door sensors, smoke detectors, motions detectors, etc to activate an alarm on the Lyric. Honeywell makes compatible versions of all of those types of sensors though. Z-Wave sensors aren't reliable enough to pass UL testing and would cause numerous false alarms (which is already a problem in the industry) so you just have to use the approved initiating devices and your frustrations will be solved. As for garage door control, the Lyric has built-in logic for remote garage door control using the 5877 (https://www.alarmgrid.com/products/honeywell-5877 ) module and then a wireless sensor on the garage overhead door. Z-Wave sensors like the ones you have will only work with retail home automation systems that are trying to act like a security system. The Lyric is a professional alarm system and that is why those devices aren't compatible. I'm sorry this wasn't clear when you purchased your Lyric but we'd be happy to help you pick out compatible devices to replace the sensors you have now.
I've found that the Z-Wave feature is really hit or miss. I have all of my windows and doors fitted with Everspring Z-Wave Door Sensors, My garage has a NuTone Z-Wave Opener. I have a Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detector from FirstAlarm, 6-in-1 Motion Sensors from Aeon, and a Aeon Siren. So far the Everspring contacts come up under other and will not show up as an automation device in my Total Connect dashboard. When I pair the Nutone it comes up as a lock and I cannot make it a garage device. So far the Z-Wave feature is nothing but frustration. A simple thing like being able to rename the device to something that makes sense would be nice. Instead of the linear device numbering default. I haven't bothered trying to include the Aeon devices or Smoke detector because of my frustration with the process of the first two devices. It's a pain in the butt unpairing them from my Samsung Smartthings just to add them to the Honeywell and find out they aren't going to perform their function.
The Lyric system will integrate with other brand Z-Wave devices. It also works with their full range of 5800 Series and SiX Series RF sensors. What devices are you trying to use that you feel Honeywell doesn't have an option for?
Honeywell needs to start looking at the Z-Wave marketplace for device ideas. Particularly some of the products Aeon Labs is putting out. They are way behind the features and style category. I understand they are running all of their products through UL so that takes some time. To that I would counter that innovation only takes imagination and no time at all. If you are going to lock me to a device list at least provide me devices that I actually want and provides the features that are desirable.
