Dear Valued Customer,

Resideo has recently determined that a limited quantity of the First Alert VX1 Video Doorbell (CAMW
-WDB) was
manufactured with an incorrect circuit board component and shipped to our distribution partners. These products
will operate normally when first installed, but over time, the doorbell chime will stop sounding, and the status LED
will remain red. All other video functions will work as designed. The impacted products were manufactured in
November with a “2447” date code printed on the package seal.

Resideo is working with our distribution partners to purge impacted
products
with this date code from inventory, and
we recommend these next steps:

•

Remove from inventory:

Please check your inventory. Companies with
product with the 2447 date code
should return it to the original point of purchase for replacement. No other date codes are impacted.

•

Uninstall from customer(s) residence:

A handful of devices with the “2447” date code were installed and
came online starting Dec. 23, 2024.
We are reaching out to those companies that installed these
impacted devices with additional instructions so that end
-users do not experience degraded
performance.

processes did not identify the issue sooner.
We are taking prompt action to address issue and help prevent future
issues. For example, we are adding additional tests at the end of the manufacturing process to ensure each
touchpoint within our manufacturing process works together to deliver a product that meets our rigorous
standards.
