Adding a PROSIXRPTR to a PROA7 S
eri
es Panel
The PROSiXRPTR is an RF receiver and a transmitter and is intended to extend the indoor
range of PROSiX series devices. Up to Two PROSIXRPTR'
s can be added to a PROA7 Series
panel
Revision 03.591.92 or Higher.
Once enrolled in the panel
the PROSIXRPTR can repeat any
PROSIX transmitter
Revision 5 or higher. It will NOT repeat
signals from another repeater.
Ensure the Pro
Panel is Revision 03.591.92 or
higher, and all
PROSIX devices are Revision 5 or
higher. If updating
the panel allow 24 hours
for
all PRO
SIX transmitters to update before
installing the PROSIXRPTR

Steps to installing the PROSIXRPTR
1.
Confirm
Panel Revision is 03.
591.92
or above and that ALL
transmitters are Rev 5.0.1 or above.
2.
The first step is to Learn the Repeater into the Panel in Sensor Learn Mode.
Each
PROSIXRPTR
will use 1 Zone.
3.
Wire up the 5VDC Transformer and plug in the Battery on the Repeater
4.
Put the Panel in Sensor Learn Mode
then
Plug
in the Transformer on the
Repeater. All 3 LED’s will scroll green during the enroll process. Watch for all
3 LED’s to go solid GREEN for 3 seconds indicating successful
enrollment
.
All 3 Blinking Rapid Red at the end of enrol
lment indicates enrollment failed.
Trip the co
ver tamper to restart the enroll
ment process.
5.
Once enrolled t
he Repeater
will
indicate the battery is not fully charged, the
following steps can be completed regardless of the battery status, and the
battery should fully charge within an hour or so.
6. You can
now
unplug the Repeater, and with the co
ver removed
on Battery
power
, walk it to the desired install area.
The PROSiXRPTR verifies the
signal strength between the Panel and repeater
every five seconds. The
RSSI LED will update every 30 seconds. Green means you are within range
;
Amber LED tells you this is the furthest f
rom the controller you can mount the
PROSiXRPTR. Red indicates you are Out of
Range of the Panel.
For best
results mount the PROSiXRPTR as high as possible, keeping it away from
metal objects
and at least 10ft from Wi
-Fi Routers or Access Points.
7.
Once the Repeater is mounted go into AN360 and put the panel back in
Sensor Learn Mode, then exit Sensor Learn mode and wait 10 minutes for
the panel to re
ceived updated sensor signal strength from all the transmitters,
and update the Sensor Signal Strength indicators in the diagnostic view.
8. Now perform a Diagnostic Test from AN360
to see each transmitters
connection path, via Repeater 1, Repeater 2, or the Panel, as well as the
newly measured signal strength.

This can also
be done f
rom the
AN360 App. G
o to “Panel Info” and select
"Get Status”, then in the desired Partition select “View Sensor Status”.
9. If the Sensors
are showing low signal strength and are not connec
ted to the
Repeater as desired, you can select ‘Rescan Network’ to prompt the panel to
reconnect the transmitters to the stronger signal path.
You can also select ‘Rescan Repeater’ from the
Installer/Master Tools screen
at the Pa
nel
During the res
can, each
PRO
SiX device will lose
connection for 10 seconds.

Tools to use when setting up a PROSIXRPTR
•
Sensor Learn Mode (From AN360 only)
– Within 10 minutes of exiting Sensor
Learn Mode the panel will update the signal strength displayed for each
transmitter. (This does not
currently
happen from Local Program
ming
)
•
Diagnostics/Get Status
– Pulls the most recently updated SiX sensor battery
level and signal strength. Panel must be disarmed and not in any Test mode.
•
Rescan Network
– Only available if a PROSIXRPTR is enrolled. This function
requests each sensor to search for the best connection available from the panel
or repeaters. During the res
can, each PRO
SiX device will lose connection for 10
seconds.
•
PROSiXRPTR RSSI LED
– Indicates the signal strength betw
een the Panel and
the repeater. Move the
repeater around on battery power with the cover off. Wait
30 seconds after moving to a new location for the RSSI LED to update.
Green
means you are within range;
Amber LED tells you this is the furthest f
rom the
controller you can mount the PROSiXRPTR. Red indicates you are Out of
Range
of the Panel.
