Dear Valued Customer:
Resideo Technologies recently discovered a firmware
anomaly that exists in certain LTE-XV and LTE-L3V
communicators. The discovery resulted in Resideo in
stituting a sales hold on 1/22/2020. We would like
to take
this opportunity to provide you with additional inf
ormation related to this hold, including instructio
ns on
identifying working communicators.
The hold was instituted as a result of incorrect fi
rmware being loaded onto the radios in the factory,
causing
the products to disappear in AlarmNet360. In-house
testing has determined that the radios will contin
ue to
process signals normally and report any signals to
the central station, which was originally programme
d during
device setup.
Resideo has isolated the devices affected by this i
ssue to the attached list of MAC numbers. A list o
f the
affected MAC Numbers can be viewed at the link belo
w. You can use this spreadsheet to determine if you
have
any defective product in inventory.

To verify if the product has the new firmware inst
alled please look for blue dots attached to the box
and
devices, as outlined in Exhibit A for the LTE-XV an
d Exhibit B for the LTE-L3V.
If the MAC number of a product
is present in a spreadsheet, and there is no blue d
ot affixed to the packaging or PCB, it will need to
be
exchanged to provide correct functionality.
Instructions:
Inventory: To determine if you have a defective pro
duct in inventory please follow the below steps:
1.
Check if model LTE-XV or LTE-L3V
o
If no – product not affected
o
If yes – proceed to step 2
2.
Check if date code is between C305 – C365 or betwee
n D001 – D023
o
If no – product not affected
o
If yes – proceed to step 3
3.
Check for blue dot on box and radio
o
If yes – product not affected
o
If no – proceed to step 4
4.
Check if the MAC is on the list
o
If yes – return to distributor
o
If no – product not affected
If you have an affected product in inventory, Resid
eo requires you to return it to the distributor fro
m which
you purchased the product for a complimentary repla
cement of like product. Exchanges will be provided
directly by the distributor, as long as product is
available in inventory. Shipping costs for returni
ng the items
will be paid by Resideo.
