Summary:
•
A potential functionality issue on 6160RF keypads,
manufactured between May 26, 2020 and February 18,

2021, when used with a 5800WAVE Wireless Siren and/
or 5800RL Wireless Relay Module.
•
Return 6160RF keypads with Firmware Release 1.06,
used with 5800WAVE and/or 5800RL to your
distributor for a complimentary replacement of the
like product or pursuant to the RMA process.

Dear Valued Resideo Customer:
The purpose of this communication is to alert you o
n a firmware anomaly Resideo has recently identifie
d in certain
6160RF Keypads manufactured between May 26, 2020 an
d February 18, 2021, when used with 5800WAVE and/or

5800RL. We would like to take this opportunity to p
rovide you with the information to resolve this iss
ue.
We have not received any report of personal injury
or property damage, but our customers’ safety is pa
ramount, as
a result, Resideo took specific actions as outlined
herein.
Affected Products:
6160RF Keypads manufactured between
May 26, 2020 and February 18, 2021

between D147 and
E049
), running
Firmware Release 1.06,
may exhibit the following failures: The "ARMED" LED
not lighting when it is
should to or staying lit when it should be off and
the audible output not sounding/continually soundin
g when it should
/should not.
Please note that the 5800WAVE is not intended to be
sole 85db primary sounding device.
To determine the 6160RF Keypad Firmware Release
, please refer to
Exhibit A
.
Action:
If you have 6160RF keypad with
date codes

between D147 and E049

and it is used with 5800WAVE and or
5800RL
, Resideo requires you to return the 6160RF keypad
to the distributor from whom you purchased the prod
uct
for a complimentary replacement or product credit.
Resideo understands that you may not have records
of all
firmware and will provide this replacement or produ
ct credit for any such units purchased between June
1, 2020 and
April 1, 2021.
If you have an affected 6160RF keypad (on Firmware
Release 1.06) that is not used with a 5800WAVE and/
or 5800RL
device
,
it functions to specification, no action is needed.

If you see "KeyPad Ver. 1.06" the unit should be r
eplaced.
