2GIG GC2 3-1 Kit

The 2GIG GC2 3-1 Kit is a great starter kit for new users in a smaller home or an apartment looking to achieve a basic security setup. The 3-1 Kit includes a new 2GIG GC2 System, three door and window sensors, a motion sensor and an LT-Cable. But no cellular communicator is included.

The 2GIG GC2 is a relatively capable system that provides all the functionality that one would expect out of a modern panel. While it isn't the newest or most advanced system available, it still works very well for most users. The wireless all-in-one system supports up to 60 wireless zones and up to 64 different user codes. If a user needs to expand upon their system, they can add virtually any 345 MHz 2GIG or Honeywell 5800 Series Wireless Sensor.

As the kit includes three door and window sensors and a motion sensor, the user should be able to achieve a complete security setup right out of the gate. The 3.75" by 2.25" touchscreen makes it easy for users to navigate the menus and program new sensors if needed. And since the system is wireless, it can be easily taken to a new property if the user ever moves. So if a user ever plans on expanding upon their setup, the 2GIG GC2 is more than capable.

The one downside to this kit is that no cellular communicator is included. Instead, one will have to be purchased separately. Cellular communication is critical for the system, since it is the most reliable communication path available. It is also the only way to keep the system monitored when the power it out. And with cellular communication, the system can connect with the Alarm.com interactive service. Alarm.com lets users arm and disarm their system, check the status of sensors and control Z-Wave smart home devices. These actions can all be performed from a web browser or remotely using the Alarm.com Mobile App.
