GoControl PD300EMZ5-1

The 2GIG PD300EMZ5-1 will provide Z-Wave operation and control for a plug-in lamp. The Z-Wave smart home device simply plugs into a standard wall outlet and enrolls with a Z-Wave controller. A plug-in lamp can then connect with the module so that it can be used like any other Z-Wave device.

There are many advantages to using a Z-Wave plug-in module like the PD300EMZ5-1. First is that the user will be able to operate the Z-Wave device remotely. When used with an alarm system, this can be through an interactive service platform like Total Connect 2.0 or Alarm.com. These services have their own mobile apps that will allow the user to control their Z-Wave devices from essentially anywhere in the world.

By integrating the Z-Wave device into the network, a user will be able to control the lamp with smart scenes. This means that the lamp can be activated along with other Z-Wave home automation devices, or it can be set to activate automatically based on a set schedule or with predetermined system events. Another benefit is that the module will expand upon the mesh network and serve as another device that Z-Wave devices can "hop" through to reach their ultimate destination.

The maximum load for the device is 300W incandescent, with 120VAC. The device features one controlled outlet and one pass-through outlet.
