2GIG TS2-e

The 2GIG TS2-e is a 900 MHz wireless touchscreen keypad that is compatible with the 2GIG GC2 and GC2e control panels only. For the GC2, it must have a 2GIG XCVR2-345 transceiver module and have firmware 1.16+. For the GC2e, it requires that the panel be equipped with the a 2GIG XCVR2-345 or the 2GIG XCVR2e-345 Transceiver Module. The panel must be on firmware version 1.23+ to support the TS2-e.

The TS2-e is a full-color easy to use touchscreen that can be mounted up to around 500' (open-air) away from the 2GIG control. It communicates at a 900 MHz frequency with bi-directional communication. It utilizes a 25 channel frequency-hopping spread spectrum and 403 KHz channel spacing. The TS2-e allows you to arm and disarm from a secondary location. It also allows you to access Z-Wave functionality and see and hear system status messages and alerts. All using the same user interface as the 2GIG control panel itself.

The 2GIG XCVR2-345 transceiver module has been discontinued, but if your GC2 or GC2e is already equipped with this module, then it will support the TS2-e with the proper panel revision. For the GC2e, this is 1.23+. For the GC2, this is version 1.16+. In the keypad's install guide, it mentions that the TS2-e firmware "may" require downgrading to 1.16 for use with the GC2. With the transceiver module and proper firmware revision, up to four (4) TS2-e keypads can be used on the 2GIG control.

The TS2-e comes with a 14VDC power supply, so you must be sure to observe proper polarity when connecting wires at either the power adapter or at the keypad if the barrel connector is not used. Also, wire gauge and length is very important. Be sure not to exceed the maximum wire lengths based on the wire gauge used, as shown in the table below.

It is recommended that the 2GIG TS2-E be mounted at about eye level when wall mounting. It should be installed in a location with an AC power outlet nearby. Avoid attempting to mount where there is a wall stud, existing electrical wires inside the wall, and/or water pipes or ductwork. The 2GIG TS1-DESK can be used if you prefer to desk mount the keypad.

Just like the GC2 and GC2e, the TS2-e has one-touch Home and Emergency buttons for quick navigation. The emergency (➕) button will display panic, fire, and emergency options. The home ( ⏹ ) button will take you to the home screen. Use the 2GIG TS2-e seamlessly with your 2GIG GC2 and GC2e alarm control panels.
