DSC L-1

The DSC L-1 is a lock for metal DSC alarm cabinets. It comes with two (2) keys and a retaining clip to attach the lock. The lock provides a way to secure the metal enclosure. This helps to prevent tampering with the alarm system. A cabinet lock, at times, is a requirement to meet certain building codes.

The DSC L-1 can secure any metal cabinet made by DSC. Remove the knockout from the metal housing, insert the cabinet lock, and secure it with the included retaining clip. The L-1 also comes with two (2) keys. Be sure to place these in a safe place and not next to the alarm where a burglar would find them. It could be years before you next use the keys, so be sure to place them somewhere your older self will remember. Also, if you move and leave the system behind, be sure to leave the key for the new homeowner.

DSC makes a variety of metal enclosures. The DSC L-1 can be used on any of their metal enclosures. Securing the cabinet with a lock and key makes it harder for any unauthorized people to access the alarm panel. Whether it is a curious child or a malicious burglar. The key can deter them from easily accessing your security system.

The L-1 is made by DSC for DSC metal cabinets such as the HSC3010C, the PC4050CR, and the PC5003C. The L-1's standard design will allow it to work with metal cabinets from other manufacturers. This includes the Honeywell Vista Alarm Panel cabinets. This lock and key set will work nicely to secure any metal cabinet if it did not come with a lock, or the lock has been misplaced.
