DSC PGTEMP-PROBE
External Temperature Probe for PG9905
Description
DSC PGTEMP-PROBE is a temperature probe accessory for a DSC PG9905 PowerG Temperature Detection Sensor. The probe connects to the DSC PG9905 so that the sensor can monitor areas it otherwise couldn't, such as a walk-in freezer that's too cold for the transmitter itself, or the outside of a building.
A rather big limitation with the standalone DSC PG9905 PowerG Temperature Sensor is that the transmitter itself cannot be mounted in areas with extreme temperatures. It also cannot be used outside where it will be exposed to the elements. But if you attach the DSC PGTEMP-PROBE to the PG9905 Sensor, then you can effectively monitor locations that would otherwise be unsuitable for mounting the transmitter.
The DSC PGTEMP-PROBE plus wiring measures 11.4 feet (3.5m) long it may be possible to either shorten or extend the wire leads, but DSC recommends not doing this, for fear that it will change the resistance level and affect the transmitter's behavior. Out of the box, the probe is waterproof. No additional measures to waterproof the probe are required. Please note that operating temperature for the probe ranges from -22°F to 140°F (-30℃ - + 60℃).
