GRI M-5RS

The GRI M-5RS is a recessed magnet that is 3/8" in diameter and 5/8" long. The magnet is best used with a door contact that also measures 3/8" in diameter. The sensor and magnet must be properly aligned when the door is closed. White and brown options are available. Test after installing.

As a recessed magnet, you must make sure that the GRI M-5RS is properly aligned with the sensor that it is used with. This will ensure that the metal reed switch inside the sensor remains closed when the door or window is shut. Once you open the door or window, the magnet will become separated from the sensor. This will release the sensor's internal reed switch and tell the sensor to alert the system.

The GRI M-5RS is best-suited for a recessed sensor that measures 3/8" in diameter. Having a matching diameter will come in handy when you go to align the magnet with the sensor. This is a stubby, recessed magnet that can be used with nearly any door or window that supports the 5/8" length. Remember to test the sensor after installing the magnet.
