GRI MM-375

The GRI Mighty Mag MM-375 is a rare Earth magnet that measures 3/8" in diameter, and 1/2" long. The magnet is used with a 3/8" diameter recessed door/window contact. The magnet is installed inside the moving portion of a door or window and aligned with the sensor. Test after installation.

Rare Earth magnets like the GRI MM-375 are know for their impressive strength, which is important for ensuring that a contact sensor knows when a door or window is closed. When the the sensor and magnet are aligned, a reed switch inside the sensor will remain in a closed position. Opening the door or window will cause the magnet to separate from the sensor. This will release the reed switch inside the sensor. The sensor will then report to the panel to let it know that the door or window has been opened.

For best results, use the GRI MM-375 with a recessed door and window contact that measures 3/8" in diameter. Make sure that the sensor and magnet are in proper alignment when the door or window is closed. This will help ensure that the reed switch inside the sensor remains closed. Remember to test the sensor once the installation is complete.
