Honeywell 945-M

The Honeywell 945-M is a surface mount magnet that can be used as a replacement magnet for the Honeywell 945T miniature magnetic contact as well as many other Honeywell surface mount door and window contacts.

Even though the 945T contact comes in (3) colors, the 945-M magnet only come in (2) colors. If you have the white contact (945T-WH), you should get the 945WH-M white magnet and if you have the brown contact (945T-BR), you should get the 945BR-M brown magnet. By matching the color of your contact to your magnet, you can get the most aesthetically pleasing look for your door contacts and window contacts. Unfortunately, if you have the grey contact (945T-GY), there are no matching grey magnet. You will have to go with the 945WH-M or 945BR-M magnet instead. Of course, you could also swap out all of your grey contacts and switch to brown or white contacts instead, if your decor matters enough to you.

The Honeywell 945T miniature magnetic contact has a 1.125” magnet gap so make sure that you install your 945-M magnet within 1.125” of your contact. When the door or window is closed, the magnet should be within 1.125” of the contact and the normally closed loop will be normal. As soon as the door or window opens and the magnet moves further away than 1.125”, the contact loop goes into fault and an alarm is triggered. If you are using the Honeywell 945-M magnet with any other surface mount door or window contact, make sure to check the magnet spacing gap before mounting the magnet.
