Honeywell Home 300-10259

The Honeywell Home 300-10259 is a 5 VDC, 1A Transformer that is used to power the PROSIXC2W wired to wireless converter module. The PROSIXC2W comes with one of these transformers, but if the original becomes lost or damaged, this is a direct replacement. It does not come with wiring.

The Honeywell Home PROSIXC2W comes with its own transformer, and its own Li-ion backup battery when it is purchased new. Eventually, after several years of use the battery will begin to lose the ability to store a charge. At that time it will need to be replaced. The 300-10259 transformer doesn't wear out in the same way the battery does over time, but it can become lost, or damaged. In that case, the Honeywell Home 300-10259 is the proper replacement.

This is a DC transformer, so when replacing the original one, be sure to observe proper polarity at the transformer, and at the converter module. Powering the module on with polarity reversed can damage both the transformer, and the PROSIXC2W converter module as well as the battery if it is connected at the time this occurs.

There are very specific wiring limits to observe when connecting the PROSIXC2W to the 300-10259 Transformer. See the chart below for those limits:

Attempting to run wire further than recommended, or on a smaller gauge wire than recommended may result in a premature low battery condition for the PROSIXC2W, as well as other unexpected and undesirable results.
