Honeywell Home PROLTE-ANT

The Honeywell Home PROLTE-ANT is a cellular antenna for use with the PROLTE-A and PROLTE-V Communicators for the PROA7PLUS, PROA7PLUSC, PROA7, and PROA7C. Adding the Honeywell Home PROLTE-ANT can boost cell signal, which is often important for users in rural areas far away from cell towers.

Cellular connectivity is widely recognized as being the most reliable communication path for a security system. However, it is only useful if the communicator can obtain an adequate cellular signal. The AT&T LTE Network and the Verizon LTE Network both provide excellent coverage across the United States, and most users don't really need to boost the signals. But there are some users in rural areas who will not be able to obtain adequate cellular signal strength unless they boost the power of their communicator in some way. For these users, the Honeywell Home PROLTE-ANT can come in handy.

The Honeywell Home PROLTE-ANT can be used indoors or outdoors. It is often installed in an attic on the side nearest the available cell tower. It should be mounted in a vertical position, and it can be mounted on glass, plastic, drywall, masonry, or wood. It should not be mounted on metal. The antenna should be at least (12) inches away from any large metal objects. Included with the PROLTE-ANT is an adapter cable (PROLTE-EXTCX), clamp, and mounting bracket. The connection between the PROLTE Communicator and the PROLTE-ANT is made using the PROLTE-EXTCX Adapter Cable. The antenna has an IP67 protection rating. This antenna can also be used with the Resideo LTEM-PA or LTEM-PV, but the Resideo ADPT-LTEMP External Antenna Adapter is also required and is sold separately.
