Honeywell Home PROSIXSIRENO

The Honeywell Home PROSIXSIRENO is an outdoor siren and strobe for use with the PROA7PLUS, PROA7PLUSC, PROA7, and PROA7C. The wireless siren produces sounds of up to 85 dB to alert those on-site to an alarm event. Its integrated strobe light provides a visual indication of an alarm.

As you may be aware, the ProSeries Panels already have a built-in 85 dB sounder that will activate during alarm events. The purpose of the PROSIXSIRENO isn't necessarily to increase the siren volume, but rather it will spread out the sound across a larger area to ensure that everyone is alerted. If you are using the system on a larger property or business complex, then adding one or more sirens can be extremely important in this regard. The wireless siren produces a steady burglary sound, a Temporal 3 sound for fire alarms, and a Temporal 4 sound for CO alarms. The device also offers optional Chime functionality to let you know when zones are faulted on the system.

In addition to the audible siren, the PROSIXSIRENO also provides a visual indication of an alarm thanks to its integrated strobe light. During an intrusion alarm, the strobe will flash white only. But during a fire or CO alarm, it will flash red and white. This can be helpful for determining which type of alarm is occurring. Users who are hearing impaired will greatly appreciate the strobe functionality, and it is very important for ensuring that everyone is notified of the alarm. As an outdoor strobe, the PROSIXSIRENO can also be helpful for emergency responders in determining the location of the alarm. In addition, the device also has an LED light that will illuminate upon changing the system arming status. It turns green for (20) seconds when disarming, and red for (20) seconds when arming.

For power, the Honeywell Home PROSIXSIRENO relies on four (4) lithium AA batteries. The expected battery life for the device is about five (5) years. Frequently using the Chime functionality of the device will reduce battery life. The system will show a low-battery trouble condition when it's time to replace the batteries. The device can communicate with the panel from more than 300 feet away in an open-air environment. The PROSIXSIRENO offers RF supervision functionality so that the system will show a notification if it does not receive check-in signals from a programmed unit within the specified supervision time frame. The device includes tamper detection. You cannot adjust the volume for the PROSIXSIRENO. The PROSIXSIRENO measures 6.1" in diameter, and it is 1.8" thick.
