But LTE cellular networks offer more than just longevity. These networks provide impressively fast speeds to help ensure that monitoring service is conducted as effectively as possible. This will result in quicker responses during alarm events, as well as more streamlined automation functions if the system is being used in that manner. Additionally, LTE networks are known for their exceptional reliability, which is absolutely crucial for a security system. You will be able to rest easy in knowing that your LYNX Touch Panel is constantly connected with the AlarmNet360 Servers and that any system transmission will successfully reach its intended destination. This is also important for ensuring fast system responses when you control your system remotely using Total Connect 2.0.

We recommend the Honeywell LTEUPGKT-L57A for anyone with an L5200, L5210, or L7000 System that is running a firmware version of less than 9.00.209. That is the minimum firmware needed to support the Honeywell LTE-L57A AT&T LTE Communicator. The reason why this kit is good for a user with a system running a lower firmware version is because it includes the Honeywell LYNXTOUCH-MSD Firmware Updater Tool. This accessory is required for updating a LYNX Touch System to the latest firmware. If your LYNX Touch Security system is already running a high enough firmware version, then you may be better off just purchasing a standalone Honeywell LTE-L57A Communicator. Still, some users may want to get the updater tool anyway, in case they ever need to update the system's firmware again in the future.

Note: This kit cannot be used with the Honeywell L5100 and Honeywell L5000 LYNX Touch Panels. The L5100 and L5000 do not have any LTE communicator options available, and they cannot be used with the LYNXTOUCH-MSD Firmware Updater Tool.
