Resideo PROSIXLCDKPC

The Resideo PROSIXLCDKPC is a secondary keypad that can be used with the PROA7, PROA7C, PROA7PLUS, and PROA7PLUSC. The primary difference between the Resideo PROSIXLCDKPC and the Honeywell Home PROSIXLCDKP is the branding shown on the front. They are exactly alike in nearly every other way.

The Resideo PROSIXLCDKPC is a basic keypad. It has a full 32-character (2-line by 16-character) alpha display and can be set to display in English, French, Portuguese, or Spanish. The keypad can be used for the basic functions of a security system. Arming, disarming, and bypassing zones. It also offers three (3) single-button panic options which can be programmed for a police, fire, and medical response. The panic buttons require a full two (2) second press in order to activate, to prevent accidental alarms. It cannot be used to perform any smart home commands. The keypad has a wireless range of approximately 300' (91.4m) using the PROSIX encrypted wireless protocol.

The Resideo PROSIXLCDKPC comes ready to wall mount the unit. If you prefer to set the keypad upright on a desk or counter, you can purchase the PROSIXLCDDM desk mount kit and use it instead. The PROSIXLCDKPC is powered by an included 9VDC power adapter and has a backup battery that is rated for at least 24 hours for instances of sustained power loss. The battery is expected to last approximately five (5) years. Once it can no longer reliably store a charge, it should be replaced.

The 9VDC power transformer is a 2-prong transformer and does not have wire attached. To connect the transformer to the PROSIXLCDKP, you will need to provide your own 2-conductor wire. The Honeywell LT-Cable is an excellent option if you do not already have wire. The Honeywell LT-CABLE is a 18AWG 2 conductor cable. It consists of an 8' cable and a 7" dongle. It separates easily with a barrel connector between the two.

The PROSIXLCDKPC is supervised by the alarm panel for wireless check-in, and this is not optional. The keypad sends a supervision signal to the panel every 60 seconds. If the panel doesn't hear from a keypad for a full 15 minutes, it will indicate a trouble condition on that keypad's supervision zone. Zones 800 - 831 are used for keypad supervision. In addition to wireless check-in, the keypad is supervised for AC Loss, Low Battery, and Tamper. As a PROSIX device, each keypad can be paired with only one (1) panel and must be removed through programming on its original panel before it can be moved to a new panel. All signals between the keypad and the panel use 128-bit AES Encryption.

With its backlit display, the keypad can easily be used at night. The backlight can be set to low, medium, or high intensity. The push-button keypad also has a backlight option, and it is programmed separately from the display backlight. The display always times out after 60 seconds of non-use. The keys, however, can be set to always backlit, never backlit, or backlit during use with a 1, 5, or 15-minute timeout. Unlike the display, the backlight intensity for the keys is not adjustable.

The Resideo PROSIXLCDKPC offers standard chime functionality, but it does not support voice chime or any type of spoken communication. You can toggle the chime feature ON/OFF by entering [Master Code] + [9] on the keypad. When Chime is toggled on, the keypad will produce three (3) beeps when a chime-enabled zone is faulted. It will also produce Entry Delay and Exit Delay warning beeps and will display Entry/Exit Delay timers on the screen. It uses a piezoelectric sounder, so volume control is not an option. The keypad measures 5.75"L x 3.875"W x 1"D.

Up to eight (8) keypads can be paired with each partition on a PRO Series Alarm System. The PROSIXLCDKP, the PROSIXLCDKPC, the PROWLTOUCH Touchscreen Keypad, and the PROWLTOUCHC Touchscreen Keypad all count towards this limit. Since you can assign up to eight (8) keypads to each of the four (4) system partitions, you can have up to (32) keypads total. The PROSIXLCDKPC can perform the "Go To" command by entering [Valid Code] + [*] + [Partition Number], allowing you to switch between system partitions. The PROWLTOUCH and PROWLTOUCHC keypads will also allow you to switch between partitions, as long as you have a valid code for the partition you want to view or control.
