Assure Lock Interconnected Z-Wave Plus Lockset with Touchscreen Keypad

Description
The Yale YRC256 is a keyless interconnected lockset with a built-in outside-facing touchscreen keypad. It uses Z-Wave Plus technology to integrate with a smart automation network. The touchscreen keypad allows for convenient on-site operation. The lockset is designed for commercial and industrial use.
As a commercial lockset, the YRC256 provides a single point lock. The latchbolt is operated by either the interior or exterior lever at all times. The deadbolt is activated by the touchscreen on the outside, or by a thumbturn on the inside (no key). The interior lever always retracts both the latchbolt and the deadbolt simultaneously. Alarm Grid is offering the Yale YRC256 in the Satin Nickel finish only, at this time.
When used by itself, the YRC256 can store up to 25 pin codes. When used with a Z-Wave Plus network, it can handle up to 250 pin codes. The lock installs with a rubber gasket which protects your door and shields the lock from the elements. It offers a low battery indicator, and since this is a keyless model, it has an emergency backup feature. A connector on the bottom edge of the keypad allows you to press a 9V battery into place, providing emergency power to operate the lock. Just be sure to keep a good 9 Volt DC battery within easy reach.
All of the Assure Lock Interconnected Locksets offer a solid metal escutcheon. The YRC256 has a privacy button which prevents unwanted access from outside at the touch of a button. Since this is a touchscreen model, it offers voice-assisted programming. The touchscreen is a capacitive sensing type. To conserve battery, the keypad backlighting will go out after a period of inactivity, usually about 30 seconds. The keypad will wake with a touch.
With the Yale YRC256 being a Z-Wave Plus compatible device, it is always recommended that it be paired with a Z-Wave Plus or Z-Wave Plus V2 Home Automation Controller. This will allow the lock to utilize all of the advanced features that are available with Z-Wave Plus. These include, lower power consumption for extended battery life, and greater transmitting range, among other benefits. Because all Z-Wave devices are backward compatible with earlier versions, the YRC256 will work with a standard Z-Wave controller, but when used with an older controller, or in conjunction with other older Z-Wave nodes, the lock will lose the advantages offered by Z-Wave Plus.
