Shipping Policy

COVID-19 Notice

We are noticing occasional shipping delays with our carriers. We suspect that this is the result of extreme demand for their services during this pandemic. We are doing our part to get product out in time. However, please remember, we have no control over what occurs once the product leaves our warehouse. Consider planning a possible extra day for any given shipment. Most orders seem to be delivered in the manner they are requested, but a higher percentage than usual are being delayed. We ask for your patience.

Turnaround
Alarm Grid does it's best to ship all orders within 48 hours Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. Exceptions to this include items that are not stocked in sufficient quantity to fill an order. In such cases, Alarm Grid will backorder the items after notifying the buyer that the item will take longer than 48 hours to ship.

Carriers
We use the following carriers to deliver our orders:

  • USPS - First class items are generally shipped this way and priority packaged
  • UPS - Alarm Grid generally ships orders greater than 13 ounces via UPS.

Alarm Grid does its best to get everything out the same day for items that are in stock. If they are in stock, all orders must be placed before 12PM EST or it will likely go out the next day. This is especially important to understand with regard to overnight orders. Barring any in-stock exceptions, if an overnight order is placed before 12PM EST on Friday's, we work to ship the product on Friday to arrive Monday. If an overnight order is placed after 12pm EST on Friday's, it will not be processed until Monday for delivery on Tuesday.

When ordering, please be aware that all shipping days are given in business days. Most carriers do not deliver or move packages on Saturday or Sunday. When Alarm Grid ships an item to you, we are at the mercy of those carriers. Simply, 3-5 days means 3-5 business days; 5-7 days means 5-7 business days; Overnight orders are delivered the next business day. If you place an overnight order on Friday, the earliest we can get it to you is Monday.

Order Tracking
When a tracking # is provided by the shipping carrier, we do our best to update your order quickly with the tracking information.

Shipping Rates
The rate for shipping within the US is $5 for the first twenty items, $15 for priority shipping for the first twenty items. For each additional twenty items the price will be multiplied. e.g. Whereas the cost for one to twenty items, is $5 parcel post and $15 priority, for twenty-one to forty items, the cost of shipping will be $10 parcel post and $30 priority.

International Shipping
Alarm Grid will ship internationally. In order to determine the rate to your country, please continue to checkout. A shipping estimate will be calculated for you after you put in your address. This applies to Canada as well.

Most of the time, this calculation is accurate. There are, however, instances, where the make up of an order will cause our shipping calculator to miscalculate the estimated shipping. In these instances, Alarm Grid will contact the receiver to discuss the cost of shipping. The receiver will be responsible for making up the difference. At this time, the receiver can also cancel their order to receive a full refund.

Backorders
If any items from your order are unavailable from our supplier, we will ship you the items that are in stock and contact you with an expected time of delivery for the back ordered items. When the items on back order become available, we will ship you the rest of your order. You will not be charged any additional shipping and handling for the second shipment.

December/November Overnight Shipping Alert

Please note Alarm Grid offers no guarantee overnight orders will arrive "overnight," during the month of December and November.

We do our part to ensure that packages are marked as overnight and that the packages are picked up by UPS and USPS in a timely manner. That said, neither UPS or USPS guarantee that overnight means overnight during the holiday season (due mainly to their reindeer getting tired from being overworked). Alarm Grid is, unfortunately, unable to extend further guarantees than the organizations that deliver our packages.

Alarm Grid's staff does their best during this busy season, and we would appreciate a little holiday cheer if you are one of the frustrated customers who expected to get your overnight package the next day. Our staffers are managing a lot of frustrations from customers who didn't get packages the way they asked for them during the holidays. Unfortunately, it is something that is completely out of their control. We promise your equipment is on the way.

We cannot provide refunds to customers who get their correctly shipped and packaged product later than they expected. Please understand, when you ask us to ship overnight, we pay for overnight delivery. We are as upset as you are that the package didn't arrive in the manner it was shipped.
