[MUSIC PLAYING] Hey, DIYers. I'm Griffin with Alarm Grid. And today, I'm going to be explaining on installing the 2GIG-XCVR transceiver that helps your 2GIG EDGE communicate to the 2GIG image 3 sensor. So let's go ahead and get into the process on installing the system. So anything before you deal with any type of electronics we always want to power it down. So first thing is you'll need to locate the transformer which should be plugged into an outlet. You would want to unplug it unless if you have the LT power cable, which has a barrel connector you just simply disconnect the barrel connectors from the ends at the panel. And then you would remove the battery connections. Now if you cannot locate the transformer or do not have an LT cable, I do not recommend you unscrewing live wire for if you short those wires out or if they touch the panel, you could damage your system or damage the transformer. So the last step is if you can't get through any other means, it's to power the breaker down. So what we're looking at today is we want to make sure that the system is completely powered down that way we don't cause any damage to the panel and messing with the wiring. So we're going to be dealing with the transceiver. We're going to concentrate first on the red and black wires. So for the red wire, it's got to go into the DC out. And as you see right here, this is DC out plus. That is where the red wire is going to go. We will tighten it up. You're going to make sure you get it nice and firm that way you don't have any issues of it popping out while you're working with it. And then the Black wire here is going to go into the ground terminal labeled GND. And that'd be this terminal right next to the DC out. [INAUDIBLE] So now what we're looking at here is we're going to concentrate on what we call the data wires. The white wire will go to the TX over here. So we're going to bring it, flip it over. And this is the reason why we want to make sure that our positive and grounder are nice and tight so they don't pop out while we're trying to insert it into the hole. Now we're going to focus on the green wire which will go to what we call the RX terminal. Sometimes you have to bend it to get it where you need it to go. Once you slide it in there, tighten it up. Now we have a nice, good solid connection for all our wires that they to go nowhere. Now this here once you install it back onto the wall, this would go through a hole in the back of the wall then it drops down inside of the wall to hide the transceiver. We have successfully installed the 2GIG transceiver that will allow you to communicate to your 2GIG image 3 sensors. The next step that you would do is you would do the reverse process of powering up your system. Make sure you plug-in the battery first and then reconnect your power. So that is how you install the 2GIG-XCVR transceiver that will allow you to communicate to your image 3 sensors.
