ADT Safewatch Pro 3000: Upgrade

This panel, which has this sticker, ADT Pulse Approved, happens to be a WA3000-912. If you have that chip, it can do Total Connect. However, if you're going with a company other than ADT so that you can get Total Connect service, that company will not have any ability to program the system remotely. Alarm dealers that are non-ADT have special software that can connect to VISTA panels and can upload your programming, make changes, download the program into the panel. So now, if you want to add a zone, again, you won't have to deal with figuring out the complicated programming. Your alarm company can just send it down through the internet or the cellular connection and your panel will be programmed to match what you need. The thing about the WA3000-912 panel is, while it supports Total Connect, it does not support the software that a non-ADT company could use to program the system remotely. So even if you happen to have a 912 chip, there's still value in upgrading to a non-ADT 912 chip and going with a WA15-P or 20-P-912. So this ADT Pulse panel is still one that you would want to consider doing the PROM upgrade on.
