Hi DIYers. This is Sterling with Alarm Grid. Today we're going to be answering a question from Jordan in Illinois. Jordan wants to know how to learn a sensor into the L5100 LYNX Touch Control Panel. The sensor we'll be using today is the 5811 wireless thin door and window sensor. So Jordan we are now going to show you how to add a wireless sensor to your LYNX Touch Panel.

The first thing you got to do is press more this little tab down here on the touch screen. That pulls up a new menu and from here you're going to select Tools. There's a little picture of a guy there.

On Tools they want you to let the system know which level access you have. So if you were going to be doing user functions like changing user codes, you would use a different code. Because we're going to be doing an insulation type of thing by adding the sensor, we need to put in the installer code.

The default installer code on every Honeywell wireless panel is 4112, so we're going to enter that. It timed out on me, but 4112. We are now into the installer code menu.

To program a sensor, you click Program, and now I'm here you have selections. We want to do zones. Now because this panel is typically sold with 3 door contacts and a motion, they have some preset zones in here, you'll notice zone 2 says front door, zone 3 back door, zone 4
