Qolsys IQ Panel 4: Change Panel Brightness

[AUDIO LOGO] Hey, DIYers, Dylan here with Alarm Grid. Today, we are going to review what if my closest IQ Panel 4 screen is too bright. We're going to show how to adjust the brightness. And we're also going to review the Nighttime option for this, which is a cool kind of automation/semi-automation feature that the panel has. We can adjust the brightness and a few other options as well. So we'll show that here and adjust that brightness. So we have our IQ Panel 4 here. So we are going to go ahead and adjust the brightness. Again, as I mentioned, Qolsys has made this very simple to find. So really, anyone is going to be able to do this even if you're not experienced with alarm systems at all. All you have to do is press the top gray button here and that's it. So we have our brightness adjuster right here. Currently, it's all the way high. But we can turn that to low. The screen is going to adjust. We can turn it to middle and the screen will adjust. So just turn this all the way back up. So fairly simple for that. But there is also the Night Mode feature which is pretty cool. Or Nighttime Mode feature. And by default, that's going to start at 11:00 PM and it'll end at 6:00 AM automatically. So you don't have to go in and turn it on and turn it off each time. So now we'll go to Photo Frame. We're going to go to Settings. And then we will go to Nighttime Mode Start. So if we just scroll down here, see right there. And as I mentioned, by default, it is 11:00 PM. But if I want to adjust that, I can adjust it by pressing that. And then we have the end time here. Again, by default, 6:00 AM but you can press that and adjust that as well. And then all the way at the bottom here, we have the Nighttime Mode Settings option. So this is basically going to say what happens when we're in the Nighttime Mode. So it says, please select the items be turned off when Nighttime Mode is active. So this is going to be the display. So that's going to not just turn the brightness down, it's going to turn the display all the way off. Now that doesn't disable the system. So if for some reason you're awake while this Nighttime Mode is active, all you have to do is just press the screen, it's going to turn it right back on. But say that we don't want to have the voice of the panel. So if someone opens a door, if the system is disarmed, of course, instead of it saying Door Open, it will do nothing. And then same thing for Chime. If the system is disarmed, if someone's opening a door, it's not going to make that beeping tone. And then finally, we have LEDs. So that's going to be these two LEDs up here so we can turn those off and not really have to deal with it. So that is how you adjust the brightness for the IQ Panel 4. We also did show the Night Mode option, played around with a few settings there and got that all set up. So fairly simple. Qolsys likes to make it very easy to access these features.
